be575910 Posted July 22, 2014 Share Posted July 22, 2014 I made an account to your server named "johnny" and requested to activate jsp hosting at the site HELIONET.ORG .But more than 24 hours have passed I am still unable to host a jsp file to your server .After being uploaded , when i open the file using the url of the file all the html contents arre loaded properly , while all the java components are printed to the browser screen as it is. yashrs Posted July 23, 2014 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Java is not activated instantly on your account:-Your account is now in the queue to receive Java servlet/jsp support. Unfortunately Java doesn't scale well on a shared host so it can only be enabled on a limited number of accounts at a time. Java is enabled on a first come first serve basis each time the Johnny server has enough available system resources to support the addition of another account. Java support is automatically removed from inactive, suspended, and deleted accounts. Likewise, Java cannot be added to accounts that are inactive, suspended, or don't exist. To keep your account from being flagged as inactive you only need to log in http://heliohost.org/ at least once every 30 days. Keep in mind that you only need to request Java once, because duplicate posts will be deleted. wolstech Posted July 25, 2014 Share Posted July 25, 2014 It is. Unfortunately Java is very resource intensive, so we can only put it on a few accounts at a time. If we added it to more accounts, Johnny's load would be higher than it already is, downtime would become more frequent, and Johnny could also crash. The 6 month estimate is how long our system thinks it will take for you to get it. You could get it sooner or later depending on several factors. You're in line for it. The people who have Java now need to lose it first (typically by inactivity or getting suspended), then those who requested it before you will take their turn (assuming their account is still active, many aren't by the time it's their turn).
