[Solved] Empty Database

erichoog

Recommended Posts

When I try to visit my website erichoog.heliohost.org I get this error:

"Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL".

When I log in to my cPanel and then go to "MySQL Databases" my database "erichoog_fly" seems to be empty (it says the size is 0.00 MB).

Reparing the database says "repair complet" but noting seemed to be changed.

Restoring the database from a backup i made (from erichoog_fly.sql or erichoog_fly.sql.gz) both give the same message:

Restoring Database

Determined database name from sql

Restoring database “erichoog_fly”

But the database stays empty and my website still gives the same error message.

Can you please help me solve this?

Best regards,

Eric

When I try to connect to phpmyadmin through my cpanel I got an error message:

#1045 Cannot connect on the MySQL-server

and:

Server error 500

Translated from Dutch this details are shown by this error message:

An error occured when the website tried to fetch the http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/cpsess7408636090/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/index.php.

The server can be offline due to maintenance or can be configured incorrectly.

Can you help me on this one also?

Thx!

Eric

Change your cPanel password here: http://stevie.helioh...sswd/index.html Then log out and in again and try PhpMyAdmin.

The database is almost certainly missing though. You're suffering from the problems caused by the MySQL repair last year. Check all of you databases to see which ones are missing from PhpMyAdmin, and list their names here. I'll escalate this once you provide the database list and Krydos can fix them for you.

HI,

I changed the password and now I can use PhpMyAdmin again :-)

It shows the following:

It concerns the database "erichoog_fly".

So you can see the database.

Then I imported my backup via PhpMyAdmin and it says "Import succeeded".

But when I look via cPanel to my MySQL databases it stiil shows one (erichoog_fly) that remains empty.

Current Databases

Search Database Size Privileged Users Actions erichoog_fly 0.00 MB erichoog_fly

Rename

Delete

And my website erichoog.heliohost.org now gives the message:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@erichoog.heliohost.org and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/2.2.16 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.16 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_wsgi/3.3 Python/2.7.1 Server at erichoog.heliohost.org Port 80

Thanks again for your help.

Eric

The size in cpanel is broken and will always show 0. Verify that the data is in the database using phpmyadmin.

Your next step is to delete and recreate your MySQL users. Be sure to reassign them to your databases. When recreating, use the username and password found in your websites configuration file (varies by program, but often called Config.php or similar).
