wolstech
We have to use the version provided with cPanel. It will be updated whenever cpanel is updated, which isn't often. Johnny will always be newer than Stevie.
yashrs
To add to what @wolstech said, you can manually upload a copy of phpmyadmin to your account and use it
paladox2014
@yashrs how would we do that and does that mean we can also update our php version manually.
wolstech
PHP is system-wide software, so no. PhpMyAdmin can be uploaded like any other software since it's just a PHP program like everything else. Upload it, edit its config file if appropriate, use. It's documentation explains the process.
