Tex Killer
Hello. It has been a couple days that I can't open anything related to Stevie from my home (cPanel, my site, etc). At first I thought it was some instability on the server side, but now I've tried to get to Stevie's cPanel using a proxy and it worked, so it seems that my IP is blocked. My account: texlMy main domain: texl.heliohost.org Is that the case? Why was my IP blocked? Thanks!

Tex Killer
Yes, I can. What happened?
wolstech
Firewall looks purely at number of open connections from an IP and blocks the ones with the largest numbers when it determines it's being attacked. It can't tell what you're doing, just that you're doing something. Not knowing regular use from abuse, normal users get blocked accidentally sometimes. Tex Killer
I see... Is there a way for me to make sure every connection is properly closed? How does a connection stay open?
wolstech
If you've closed the program, the connections are closed. It's mostly just bad luck that you were on when whatever triggered this happened.
Krydos
Using sprites, minifying and consolidating your JavaScript and Css files into one of each can help reduce the number of connections your browser opens when viewing your site.
Tex Killer
Ok, so it seems it was not some random unlucky ban. My IP is banned once again.I'll try and find out why that is happening, and fix it. Meanwhile, can somebody "unban" my IP again? Thank you all very much!
