[Solved] Suspended: Mariusm9

Recommended Posts

Not sure if I am actually suspended, since I can't even log on, and I can't see my home page at

http://mariusm98.heliohost.org/

My HelioHost username: I believe it is "mariusm98", although I always used "mariusm9" to log on to cPanel
The server my account is on: I believe it is Stevie
My HelioHost main domain: I believe it is what I pasted above: http://mariusm98.heliohost.org/

I am sorry for the lack of accuracy. It is pure incompetence and my being unfamiliar with the exact meaning of the terms. Not having access to my account makes it more difficult to be sure.

I try to log in at https://heliohost.org/login/ with either of 3 usernames (mariusm9, mariusm98 and my e-address) and 2 passwords (an old one and one I made just now when resetting), but I only get "Invalid login" as a return.

If I am posting this in the wrong place, please let me know where to go.

Marius

Stevie's repairs are months away - they are saying "late January or February"

Stevie's hardware failed --> [ http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/26915-hard-drive-failed/ ]

Stevie's backups (if any) are at --> [ https://heliohost.org/backup/ ]

however they only contain a backup (if any) of your [ /public_html ] folder

the backup was created by a (automatic) script - but Stevie's hard drives are very damaged so all of your information (files and databases) might not be in it

if you had a folder(s) outside of [ public_html ] (e.g addon domain) - post it here

You need to move your account to server Johnny or Tommy (but not both) - if you need your domain(s) and/or user name removed from server Stevie so it can be used with a new account on a new server - post it here

Thanks for the replies.

First to the backup: I followed the link, filled in my details and received an e-mail with another link. This in turn gave me a .zip-file of some few bytes. I.e. no real content.

Is there any other chance to restore my index.htm file?

Marius

We will make a news post after we try backing up more of Stevie's data. You can check the news forum http://www.helionet.org/index/forum/1-news/ follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/heliohost and like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/HelioHost.org for the latest news. Anything that is recovered will be placed in the same https://www.heliohost.org/backup/ system.

No. There are no further efforts being made to recover data from Stevie. We did manage some backups (http://heliohost.org/backup/), but your account was not one of them. It failed to back up due to disk damage (the backup is empty).

The server has since had the defective disk removed and the remaining disk formatted...it's now waiting on a rebuild so it can come online again.
