[Solved] Tommy Domain Webroot

I really don't understand why it matters though, and why you keep making such a big deal about it.

I wonder the same thing. In fact, I prefer everything be in there. It means in the event we need to recover things, a script can grab the one folder and guarantee we didn't miss any domains...

The one or two people who kept data in folders other than public_html lost information because I assumed (and for the sake of speed on the backup script) everyone would keep everything of importance in public_html.

Actually, the only people I've seen keep websites anywhere other than public_html other than Nyten are phishers who are trying (and failing) to hide their scam sites...

Done.

Thanks again.

For me it is clearer to have the domains in the home directory so public_html is not stuffed with folders. As well all sub/addon- domains are accessible via the main domain and i have to block them.

Fortunately, we rarely need the backup script. ;) You recommend to create frequently backups of our sites anyway.

You took a lot of time, so what are the main disadvantages?
