  2. HelioHost username: bkoese the server your account is on: Stevie your HelioHost main domain: bkoese.heliohost.org Hi all! Unfortunately I was in hospital for a lengthy period of time and was unable to sign into my account to make updates. Now the account has been suspended, I suppose due to inactivity. Would you please be so kind as to reactivate it for me? Thanks!! Barbara Hi again, sorry this thread can be marked as solved and be closed, I found the account renewal page! Best regards! Barbara
  3. Hi DevMcLin, You are right, FTP, CPanel and HTTP is gone for Stevie and this is the case for a few hours now. Unfortunately I think there is no estimate yet as to when it will be back, at least I havent found any current Thread about the problem or any scheduled maintenance in this forum. Maybe you have this link already but I'll give it to you anyway. This is a very handy Server Monitor that I found in the Forum here: http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/ Doesn't give you an estimate on when the site will be back but at least you can check if the different services are up and running again. Hope this monitor helps you a bit and now we can only let the admins work their magic Best regards! Barbara
  4. User: bkoese Domain: bkoese.heliohost.org Server: Stevie Hello Alltogether, I hope I'm right here with my question. Some time ago I deleted my account by mistake (don't ask, long story). I then created a new account on Stevie with the same username I had before, so that all settings are the same as before. I restored my Database and my Home Directory from Backup and now my Joomla 1.7 Site works fine again. The only thing I noticed is that I am unable to install any new Plugins, Modules, Components and Templates. These do not work because they need to be uploaded as ZIP file over the "Extensions" menu in order to auto install, and every time I try to upload such a file I get the following error for every file I try: JFolder::create: Could not create directory Warning: Failed to move file! Unable to find install package I tried this with my bkoese.helihost.org domain as well as with my toplevel domain - same result. Please note that anything created in the Database, eg. Users, Articles etc is working fine, so is the file upload when I upload a picture. The only problem seems to be the install as it tries to write into TMP and LOGS. I checked the Directory permissions and found that the TMP and LOG directories are "Not Writeable" - which they were before on the old account when everything worked... directory permissions that are not writable: /home1/bkoese/public_html/logs (Log directory) ..... Unwritable /home1/bkoese/public_html/tmp (Temp directory) .....Unwritable I checked the logs and tmp directories in the above path and both of them have a CHMOD of 755 which means they would indeed be writable. I then created a new directory /home1/bkoese/public_html/tmp1 and gave it CHMOD 777, just for testing. I then changed the configuration file of my Joomla installation to point at the new tmp1 which had been created under my user. Again it showed as not writeable - so I reverted my changes again and deleted the tmp1 folder. Could it be that because I created a new user and then restored the home directory from Backup the system still thinks for these 2 directories that I am not the owner and hence does not let me write into them? CHMOD 755 only lets the OWNER of a file write and I am hesitant to change anything to 777 - so I haven't tried this option yet on the original "tmp" folder. I also searchen on Joomla Boards but all info pointed towards the Webserver itself and it says there that this often happens after a server move or restore from backup. Would any of the admins be so nice as to verify for me if the path to these directories is correct for my account? Maybe the home1 is wrong.. /home1/bkoese/public_html/logs /home1/bkoese/public_html/tmp Thanks and best regards! Barbara -->Issue resolved, sorry about that but I thought I'll share the solution to anyone that might have the same problem. I was a bit blind and didn't see that in CPanel it gives me the path to my home directory as /home/bkoese and not home1. So, after editing the configuration.php of my Joomla installation and changing the file path from home1 to home I can now install components and all the rest again. So if anyone ever has the problem after a restore of the home folder from backup check what the file path in the configuration file is and compare it to the path to the home directory in your CPanel, this should solve the issue. Best regards!! Barbara
  5. Haha, if I break it then good and proper :-) No bother though as I always take backup and a quick restore of my home folder, database and email should do the job once I have my account back. I have the signup monitoring tool open so I'll be back soon :-) Thanks for letting me know that the issue is fixed, you guys are great!
  6. Oh dear, there might be something going on with Myql and Stevie... user bkoese bkoese.heliohost.org Stevie Today I suddenly got lots of SQL errors on my webpage and being paranoid as I am I thought someone had hacked my website. So off i went deleting my whole joomla installation. I re-installed Joomla 1.7 only to find that I am unable to upload any extensions (like themes etc) I restored my home folder from backup and also my database - unfortunately to no avail. I then gave Drupal a go - again lots of SQL errors. So there was me thinking there's something wrong with my account and deleted it. So now I'm waiting for the signup limit to disappear so I can sign up again since I really Love Heliohost! Would be good to know if the SQL has a problem on Stevie at the moment tho... Thanks! Barbara

  8. Hello All Together, funny enough this has happened to me as well bkoese.heliohost.org on Stevie Add on Domain ueberflieger.cu.cc After Stevie came back yesterday (think there was a maintenance wasn't there?) my add on domain is gone from CPanel. However when you call the main domain and the add-on domain in the browser everything works just fine. In addition to this I found that my Disk usage in CPanel seems to be wrong, I had about 48MB the day before and now - without adding any features or pictures - the usage suddenly says over 176MB I checked the total file size of the public_html directory over an FTP program and it does not show 176MB... so I assume there might be something wrong with the display of disk usage and add on domains in cpanel. Not a big deal as it seems to be only a display problem, everything is working fine but just FYI that there seems to be something going on Best regards! Barbara ##### Update #### Ok I have solved the wrong disk space usage problem, in the public_html folder there is a folder called "tmp" that stores all the ZIP files that you upload during installation of a component or module (in my case for Joomla) and this accounts for the additional disk space usage. I have deleted them now and all is good :-) That leaves only the original problem logged by the previous user that the add on domains are not showing in Cpanel. Thanks! Barbara
  9. Hi Francesco, I tried your webpage http://vivitorino.cu.cc and it shows perfectly fine for me. It does indeed look as though the page might be cached somewhere for you. I had the problem yesterday as well with my page showeding as queued, and today I cleared my internet cache (e.g Internet Explorer > Internet options > Delete all Temporary Files) but this still did not help. A good idea then is to flush the DNS on your computer If you are on a windows Computer you can try to flush the DNS cache by Clicking on Start > Run > open CMD > and type ipconfig /flushdns and then hit enter. Should you have Linux instead of a Windows PC then there is a deamon to be restarted, don't know it by heart though, just search on the net for Flush DNS Linux and you'll find it! This had solved my problem on both my PC's. Please bear in mind that just as other users have mentioned, the Internet Service Provider can cache your Main Page as well and then you will still see the Queued page when entering http://vivitorino.cu.cc even when you have flushed your DNS. However when you enter http://vivitorino.cu.cc/index.php or html or whatever your index page is called it should be visible, at least this was the case on my page, after about 24 hours or so the main page should have refreshed itself. Hope things will be sorted out with your page, good luck! Best regards Barbara
  10. Hello melina, I tested your page and I am getting to your normal homepage. The text on it starts with: Hi! My name is Mariano... There are issues on Stevie as far as I know from the forum where the accounts show as "Suspended" and some (including mine) show as "Queued" even though they are not.. Maybe you could try it from a different computer or different browser and clear your cache as described on heliohost.org I hope this will help you as I had the issue a number of times and it was due to my browser cache... If all doesn't help then maybe one of the Admins here can help. Good luck with the page! Best regards Barbara
  11. Hi Krydos, Thank you for the information! Should everything go wrong then I always have my full backup of the site so no big drama. Thanks for your help!! Best regards Barbara
  12. Hello again! I see things have improved with the Suspended Account - Issue, a job well done, Thanks! My domain (bkoese.heliohost.org) does not show "Suspended" anymore but like for so many other users currently shows as "Queued". No problem there I already know about the problem being a general one on Stevie at the moment But when I try to log into CPanel the password won't work, when requesting a new password and upon entering the confirmation code from the email, I get the error that my account is still suspended. I believe this problem is also related to the one we already discussed (Suspended/Queued issue), I just wanted to double check in case other users have trouble with CPanel as well. Thanks again for your help, and best regards! Barbara (Addition: at 09:17PM CET (here in Austria) the page is showing as Suspended again, so I leave it be and just let you guys work your magic, I know I'm in capable hands :-) )
  13. Hello, thank you very much for this information, it is much appreciated!
  14. Hello all, it seems that my account has been suspended due to inactivity, however I log into my cpanel account over the helio host website at least once a week. My details are: Username: bkoese Server: Stevie Helio Host domain: bkoese.heliohost.org I have deleted my cache (as discribed in this forum) and have tried it from several computers and browsers but all show the same "Account Suspended" page. I have also reactivated the account over the link sent to me but it says that there is no account or it is not inactive. The site is still being built and all it contains is a joomla 1.7 installation with Forum and a small online store so nothing out of the ordinary. The page is about IT and Astronomy, so nothing offensive. Your help in re-activating my account is greatly appreciated! Thanks and best regards, Barbara
  15. HelioHost username: bkoese The server your account is on: Stevie your HelioHost main domain: bkoese.heliohost.org Hello all together, this is my first post so I hope I'm in the right place... I set up an account on the server "Stevie" yesterday with the above user details, however when I open http://bkoese.heliohost.org I'm currently still being forwarded to the URL for queued accounts. So http://bkoese.heliohost.org brings me to http://bkoese.heliohost.org/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi where I get the information that my account is queued. However if I go to http://bkoese.heliohost.org/index.php I get to my normal startsite... I have deleted the cache in my Browser and all temporary internet files etc. I have tried from different Machines and different browsers I have cleared DNS over IPCONFIG in CMD I have cleared the Cache of my Joomla site (even though I then noticed that my site is not being cached anyway, but better safe than sorry..) Yesterday evening I was able to access my site over the normal URL but today I can only get the start page once I add /index.php to the URL. Cpanel access and FTP access works fine. My questions are: Is this normal that you can not reach the main URL for the page for a day or two after setup even though the /index.php version works? Is there maybe something gone wrong with the account? Please let me know if you need further information from me and thank you very much for taking the time to answer my question. Best regards Barbara
