  1. Thank you again for the help and ideas. You provided insight into the type of questions to ask. I installed a different type of CAPTCHA and crafted some questions that, hopefully, will be difficult for spambots to answer. We will find out if this is the solution.
  2. Thank you for the informative response. I will do some investigation/experimentation and let you know how things are progressing and what help, if any, is required.
  3. I am unaware of any spam being sent. I have had the account with you for over a year and there has not been any history of spam. How do I get the Krydos information? Is Krydos going to post on this open forum? Your assistance is much appreciated.
  4. Hi HelioNet, username: logica10 domain: softwhiz.co.uk server: stevie My account is currently suspended due to inactivity and I am unable to renew. When I press the Renew Account button and than press the Reactivate button after entering my username the following message is displayed: "...We're sorry, but we either could not find that account in the database, or it is not listed as inactive. Please contact an administrator if you feel this message is in error...." In the future I will ensure that cPanel is logged into at least once a month to prevent account suspension. Thank you.
  5. Defining the mime type within my cPanel has solved the problem. It was thought that this had be done centrally by Web Server administrator. There is a Mime Types option within the Advanced category at the end of cPanel where you can add types for your web space. Thank you.
  6. Hi HelioNet, JNLP or PHP exec() function If it's not possible or is a security risk to have a Java Application run on Stevie can either of the following be done on Johnny? 1) Launch of Java Application through JNLP file. 2) Launch of Java Application through PHP exec() function. I am aware that the drawback to moving to Johnny is that the server is less stable than Stevie. At this time of writing the HelioHost home page is showing Johnny Server Status with a cross. Thank you.
  7. Hi HelioHost, username: logica10 domain: softwhiz.co.uk server: stevie I have a Java application that I want to run from my website using a JNLP (Java Network Launch Protocol) file. The problem appears to be that the Stevie web server is serving JNLP files as text/html rather than the correct MIME type of application/x-java-jnlp-file and as a result the following error message is displayed in the browser: The above message is followed by the content of the JNLP file. The Java Application launches and runs fine on my local computer with Java Web Start. Is it possible that you could add the content-type strings for the server config. for content types that will allow JNLP files to be recognised on Stevie? Thank you.
  8. Hi HelioNet, username: logica10 domain: softwhiz.co.uk server: stevie I am getting the error message "The login is invalid" when trying to log in from heliohost homepage or when using softwhiz.co.uk/cpanel. Please could you restore authentication for my username and password. Update I did not know that my account was suspended due to inactivity when writing the above. cPanel has not been logged into for a while (over a month). I have reactivated the account. Thanks.
  9. The Mysql Server is up and running now. Some observations and questions for future reference: I have been using the Stevie MySQL server every day for about a fortnight and daily been getting Error #2002. This is the first time I've seen code #1045. Is it true that when you create a Mysql user to use a particular database than automatically that user with access will be selected when clicking on phpMyAdmin from cPanel and than clicking on the database? What causes user 'root' to be used for a database rather than a user you have assgined for the database? Can you select from within phpMyAdmin what user you want to use a particular database?
  10. Hi HelioNet, username: logica10 domain: softwhiz.co.uk server: stevie The Mysql server is not accessible at this time of writing and the following code / message is being returned when clicking on phpMyAdmin from cPanel: This code is not listed in the "Stevie Mysql - Common Questions and Problems" topic. Thanks in advance.
  11. I tried to register the Heliohost account again this morning at 8:00am GMT with the same username (10logbud) and received the following message after clicking Create Account: Create Stevie Account ! "Congratulations! Your account has been added to the creation queue. You should be able to login at softwhiz.co.uk/cpanel within 24 hours. Please note, however, that because account creation is daemonized it may take up to 48 hours before your site is up on the web." I then received the emails "Hosting Account Installed!" followed by "HelioHost Account Error". The second email contains the following message: "Dear 10logbud, Your hosting account at HelioHost has encountered an error during installation. The error is: Sorry you must provide a valid username..." The account error message also stated that I should try again. I tried again with the new username of logica10 and have not received an Account Error message. Apparently, the HelioHost Hosting System does not like certain types of usernames? I will try to log into cpanel after 24 hours. If you don't hear from me again in this topic than you can assume login is fine.
  12. Hi HelioNet Community, The username is in all lowercase letters and that's what I'm typing in the username box of the login. Yes, this was done immediately after Helihost registration. At my Domain Registrar the domain softwhiz.co.uk now points to the following nameservers: ns1.heliohost.org ns2.heliohost.org After Thursday's registration I didn't receive any email messages from Heliohost saying that something went wrong. I will try to register again tomorrow just after 8:00am GMT (12:00 US). If you don't hear from me again in this topic next week than you can assume login is fine.
  13. Hi HelioNet, I signed up to hosting last Thursday at about 8:20am GMT (12:20 US) and at this time of writing unable to log in. The login is being attempted from the Heliohost.org home page and the error message displayed is "We're Sorry, but we could not find that username in the database". It's been more than 48 hours since sign up. cpanel username: 10logbud domain: softwhiz.co.uk server: stevie Thank you.
