  1. Hm... from everything I found on IBM's website, they've only drawn it out, and put up a few small mock models. Anyway, I'd like to see you buy it, the main point of the original arguement was that it doesn't belong in the category of you, as a normal consumer person, can buy. So therefore, the PS3 is the most powerful... well, will be the most powerful computer a regular person can buy. It will, however, lack some key features of a computer, so it wont replace it in any way.
  2. Actually, when Microsoft starts mass-producing HD DVD disks they wont cost any more than a regular DVD, since you can make them with the same equipment. The Blu-Ray Disks that I hear the PS3 is gonna use are gonna be more expensive as you have to completely change the equipment... that is, until they too are also overly mass-produced. Also, we don't know the Revolution Specs, Nintendo will not reveal if there is a HD, or what size it would be. However, I imagine you need one for the game downloads. I've heard some people say 512mb of internal flash memory, but I imagine nintendo will go with something a little cheaper and that holds more than flash memory, although I may be wrong, since you can fit 1.0GB of flash memory into something about 2in long(2.5 with teh conector), .75in wide, and about .25in thick(note: measurements are approximations that were not actually measured). It just costs about $150  Although the PS3's game library will be substantially increased by 2nd parties leaving microsoft for Nintendo and Sony. Some just Sony, but most are going to do both(I would). Also, to judge the Revolution at this point is similar to judging something you've only seen pictures of, with very little description. One example would be an M1A2 Abrams Tank, which unless you look alot of stuff up, or watch the Military/History channel alot, you aren't gonna know much about it.
  3. again myscrnnm is missing the point. And he said we have apsburgers...
  4. Um... myscrnnm... DON'T NECROMANCE! And I imagine they evacuated, but didn't recieve any damage.
  5. not the 360, I don't even have one, they aren't released yet. I'm talking about the website.
  6. I'm sorry, but we have a rule against using proxies. Since you probably didn't have time to read the rules before this post, I'll let you off, for now. Any future posts made with a proxy will result in fines until you are banned. If you cannot view this site without a proxy, talk to djbob about it.
  7. The offer still stands, if anyone can figure out how to get it to work... I'm kinda giving up hope on it...
  8. Believe it or not, Nintendo will not only make a ridiculous sum of money off of this system, but it will bring many non-gamers in, benefitting even Sony and Microsoft. They should be thanking Nintendo for expanding the industry. In fact, they should be thanking Nintendo for Consoles in the First Place, and rumble packs, and memory cards, and more-than-one-game handhelds, etc. If GFX are all you want, then wait about a year, and get a good computer, it will blow the PS3 and 360 out of the water. Thats the way it happens with consoles.

    New Rule

I knew how to do it, and you showed me that whois website with all the extra info, but I knew how to use Resolve and Find Posts by IP. Although I never would have used them if lappy didn't notice the crisis in the first place
  10. Well, if you haven't upgraded the ram to 512mb, it wont run at all...
  11. heh, this is sad... we don't actually have a topic with this yet Nintendo Revolution, innovation beats GFX. The revolution will be wildly popular, I imagine it will sell millions of units the first day in japan alone. I'm gonna get it ASAP. The PS3 looks kinda cool cause of its power, though. btw- All the consoles will be online with cheaper and better online things than xbox live, and the PS3 totally PWNs the 360 in GFX and TFLOPs. Of course, if you can buy an Xbox 360, you're probably rich enough to buy online without the hassle of getting a second and third job. But then the PS3 is screwing itself with Blu-Ray, the games will be very expensive for it.
  12. I'm sorry, no this isn't a PSP forum. It's a PSP topic. I think the only person around here who uses a PSP is myscrnnm though...
  13. No double posts! Read the rules, there's a link up top. And I must wonder why there are about 6 or 7 members that recently signed up, all using a variation of "chris," and all using different proxies...
  14. If any were free, I'd do an instant offer... but I guess that's the point.
  15. The offer completion has to be checked out...
  16. What an amazing coincedence! It also seems that the "censored" has been censored by the water
  17. Weren't you just talking about how much "bigger" and "better" sony's "sales" were than the other companys'? I smell controversy! You are aware that it just makes you look even stupider when you contradict yourself, right?
  18. I did not say that the Playstation 3 computer entertainment system is the most powerful computer on Earth. It is indeed powerful, but not the most powerful. I have already stated previously that the IBM Bluegene family is the most powerul computer on Earth. And it has indeed been proven, so if you don't believe me, go and research it. I was saying its the most powerful(currently ) that you can get without buying a supercomputer. In fact, it exceeds some supercomputers power(old ones.) But thats not the main point of that. edit: did some reasearch, and the bluegene is a supercomputer concept, which makes it fall completely out of the competition. Even if you had the millions of dollars for it, you couldn't get it yet.
  19. I'm making fun of the phrase: Given An infinite amount of time and an infinite amount of monkeys, you would eventually recreate the entire works of shakesphere. Although I imagine they mean "monkeys pounding buttons on typewriters."
  20. heh, since it is no longer a 1 word post...
  21. Thats pretty cool... 3d? And, not to sound like an english teacher, but it's metallic. I can only wish I had a program that allowed me to do that... err... well, given an infinite amount of time, and an infinite amount of monkeys on an infinite amount of Windows-running computers using an infinite amount of MS Paint applications, you could recreate that. Now how in the world am I gonna stop time and where in the world am I gonna get an infinite amount of monkeys? Or just one person with a near-infinite amount of time on their hands to fill in every pixel
  22. I hear that you can become an admin through secure mode heh, I thought you were talking about hacking HN to be a mod again
  23. aw... I wanted to make some points offa this...
  24. you are taking us humbling your overestimations as "everyone bashing the most powerful computer you can afford on earth?" Are you completely insane? Cause you're giving the impression. If you have a bunch of games, though, doesn't that mean that it's more likely to have good games in there?
