Can everyone stop calling me a spammer, trash etc. I wasn't trying to send mass loads of spam nor was I trying to scam anyone. I just sent a few emails to 1 guy, and he knew it was a joke. And I haven't been unreasonable to any of you.
Do it off of your own mailserver. We don't take risks.
As owner of the server, djbob reserves the right to be as crude, unfair, and as big of an [bleeped!] as he wants.

Thanks, we'll remove the account ASAP.

Flush your DNS cache. If that doesn't work, you might have to wait for your ISP to update their DNS servers.

Did you get my PM?
djbob was going to take care of it, since he's the only one with whm access. I told him a week ago.
-
Please PM me.

why not dig into the apache httpd source code and get it to read a bunch of .htaccess files located in some secure folder every um 4 hours? (Instead of reloading the whole http.conf file.)
There are also a large bunch of inactive users in the forum too.
I already linked to a much better solution, and djbob pretty much has decided on going with it.

We don't get enough traffic for lighttpd to make a difference. Our problems stemmed from an incorrect setup.
17 000 accounts and not enough traffic?
No. We don't need to handle tens of thousands of simultaneous connections in parallel, and cPanel doesn't like it.
Note that most people do absolutely nothing with the space and get no traffic.

I would go for a different service if you want to pay.

Hello,
My idea is to create an area for paid accounts, Where people get more space and databases ,etc. Maybe this will bring in a few more money. After you made some money of his, re-open the free accounts.
With the paid accounts you could offer , for example, a free domain if you register for two years. Abit like http://brinkster.com
Not enough people will buy them to make a difference.
Why not replace Apache by lighthttpd? It's much more lightweight and faster than Apache. And why not try DirectAdmin? We don't get enough traffic for lighttpd to make a difference. Our problems stemmed from an incorrect setup.
People like cPanel.
Anyways, it should be fixed.

Thx for coming back,
And I also agree with djbob.
Agree about what? You didn't read his post thoroughly.
Also, you should offer the 'with ads' plan again. That seems to jerk up some revenue. Just make the benefits a little smaller till we get back on our feet.Ads plans don't help when most people sign up because they want ad-free hosting, and get very little traffic in the first place. Helionet will get more traffic than all of the Heliohost sites put together.

Another option is just to cut your losses and shut down Helio.
You should really configure the server for mass hosting. Having to restart Apache to add new users is unnecessary. Virtual hosts are most optimal way of doing things. Totally documented, too.
-
You have three posts and three members. Just reinstall it on your new host rather than having to adjust your backup. It'll take the same amount of time to set up.

We do not allow SSH access, so SFTP will not work.
-
Happens constantly. djbob didn't partition the disks with tens of thousands of users in mind
-
Yes, it is. The easiest way to install it is from Fantastico from cPanel.
-
It's not even whenever djbob comes back. It's whatever he decides to do, and whenever he does it.
-
No. Thank you.
-
I disagree. He should be done with his college applications and be back here soon.
-
Since registrations have been halted, it's probably infinitely stuck in the activation queue.
-
Registration is closed.
-
Signups might not be up for a while. Apache is horrible for mass shared hosting and adding more accounts will only continue downtimes.
-
Real life. December is a busy time for many of us, and that has spilled over into January for the lovable djbob.
Sorry for the delay. I have PMed you with your new account information. For the next time you need help and don't get it within a few days, please bump your thread and not be offensive about it as outlined in the guidelines.
Wierd Error

There are a few things that could cause this, such as misplaced white space somewhere (like at the beginning or end of the file) or any html before any headers are sent.
You can enable output buffering to get rid of the error:
