I was told that it is enough to login through the cPanel but not on files that end with '.html'. You may also need to login through https://www.heliohost.org/login/ once every 30 days.

First, delete your account and register again. After that, open the verify link a minute early before the sign up resets. The verify link is valid for more than 24 hours so there should be no problem here.
You can delete your hosting account to register for a new one here: http://www.heliohost.org/scripts/delete.php You'll have to wait for about 12 hours so that all of your files and data are deleted. After that, create a new account.
Have you tried clearing your browser cache? EDIT: Also, I think it depends on the server you're registering to. If you signed up for Johnny, it probably takes more time. I'm not sure though.
