Well i've reached my goal made my site and learned enough about WordPress to where i think i can have a pay-for host without wasting months setting things up. this has been an awesome service and I'm grateful . And since i won't be logging into my heliohost account any more I'd like to have it deleted. Its a bit too much trouble trying to wipe everything out myself. it seems like its interfering with me setting up my domain name on my new host. anyway, thanks. idagraca Stevie iadagraca.heliohost.org

If you don't have a back up, which although you haven't said it directly it doesn't sound like you do, it might be the best idea to just delete everything that the hacker had access to and start a fresh wordpress install. Obviously, if you have a back up it would be best to restore everything from that back up. It's probably going to be a lot more work to go through a bunch of code that you didn't write and might not understand fully rather than just starting over and being sure you got all the hacked bits out of the system. At least that is what I would do. You never know if the hacker added some way to monitor what you change your new password to or a back door to make it easier to get in and get it all jacked up again easier next time. ugh, yeah you're right... i wish i knew softopia could backup stuff :/

that's why i posted this here, nothing related to heliohost was effected. It also seems like they messed with nothing but my username and password to wordpress. i found nothing fiddled with in the theme files. here is what i noticed so far: as far as i'm concerned he didn't even access wordpress directly. i don't see any way to change a username in there yet some how he changed my login username (which i and erased my recovery e-mail. the message on the site could be some kinda redirection, i can't find where it coming from but it doesn't appear to be related to a specific theme file because i can't even preview themes. i wonder if he uploaded something but i don't know what it is, checking all my files modification dates everything is normal...

My website has been hacked, it was the wordpress portion of my site that was hacked not the hosting or domain. iadagraca.com i went to my website a few hours ago and we welcomed with this: So using phpmyadmin i was able to fix my password by setting an e-mail recovery (it was deleted). simply changing the password didn't work because he also changed my user name to SQL (i have no idea how he did that with the wordpress interface...). so i have access to word press, but i have no idea how to fix my main page. all my data is there, everything is fine, but how do i fix my home page? please help.

Both sites are fixed, what i did was reset the settings on my domain provider, then delete and re-added the add-on domain and did the same for the sub-domain. fortunately removing a domain does not delete files

ok cool, noted Also i understand no pornographic content, but are artistic/mild nudes acceptable? you see i'm an artist and both my pages are for that (soon to be portfolio and soon to be web comic). so i'm wondering what the range of that is. And if i'm in doubt, linking to it but keeping it hosted off the page is fine?

I looked around at all the FAQ's and found nothing on this. Under what circumstances will a site be put down? Like too few hits, no logins in a month, etc?

well yes i found that this afternoon, but since last night in between 10:00pm - 2:00 am Atlantic liag.iadagraca.com went down when it was working perfectly before. "DNS error occurred. Server cannot be found. The link may be broken." is the error i get and my domain provider (1&1) isn't giving me an ip address on a dns check. flushing my dns, clearing my cache AND resetting my router has not worked and krydos said it doesn't work for him either. i'm trying different things to fix it... my panel on 1&1 says "updating" for that adress so i guess i'll wait to see if its fixed.

Try clearing your browser cache. The website www.iadagraca.com looks like a freshly installed wordpress site to me. On the other hand liag.iadagraca.com doesn't seem to load any webpage for me. Unless you meant that the addon domain wasn't working and the main domain was? yeah it is a fresh wordpress install because i haven't been able to access it at all. i'll try that. liag.iadagraca.com seemed to have stopped working yesterday night while i was watching a movie, i don't know what happened but its some kinda dns error. my domain site isn't pulling up an ip address for it either... EDIT: Ok turns out its working (www.iadagraca.com) but liag is still down :/.

i decided to wait two days before reporting. my domain www.iadagraca.com hasn't worked yet, i double checked and everything to make sure it was setup right. on the other hand my sub domain liag.iadagraca.com is working fine.

Hi people . i'm using this site to prep for a personally major project, one thing is setting up a portfolio, the other i won't say here :3. i'm also learning how to use wordpress right now too. i'm a digital artist other than that.

I believe this goes here. I'm working on a project, and i'm looking for differing views on the subject. How doing marketing and advertisements will grow in the future? for instance, here we have a company like Google, basically the largest advertising company in the world, yet also becoming a major provider of...EVERYTHING! We know they're gathering data through all this 'to provide the best advertising experience to the consumer' meaning perhaps, getting only advertisements you want to see, or likely buy. They'll take all these mounds of data though the internet, OS use, TV use, phone use, and many other things now and as the company goes larger. Perhaps only to give you advertisements you want to see all the time. Is this what we want and need? Or is it counter productive in a sense? Seeing only what you want might give you no/little chance to want something new. Maybe the flood of awesome things you want gets you cave in and charge up one to many credit cards? what do you think?

North America website is still processing, i hope this is better than other services i've tried . i also find it odd this website lacks an introduction forum :/
