I've noticed that if you're logged into your account in too many ways, the server will throw 500 errors. For example, if you're logged into CPanel and FTP'd in, and try to load your page. The easiest solution I've found is to just use the CPanel file manager utility instead of FTP. This solution isn't ideal, but it does appear to work. Mod's or djbob, is there anything you can think of that could cause this issue? Would too many open sessions actually cause this, and if so, if there a way to increase the number of allowed sessions?

I also compared traceroute's... mine is getting stopped at a backbone router for my ISP (charter.net), 1 step before the he.net hop Looks like it's working again for me. Is anyone else still having issues?

Is it possible there was a change made to the apache config files?

Hi, I haven't been able to access my site for most of today. I can access CPanel(from the heliohost main page only), and can remotely access MySQL, so I know the server is up and my account is good. Hello. I am trying to create a new database and associated user from within CPanel. It reloads the page after entering in the details, but no user shows up in the list, and there are no error messages anywhere. If I go to try again, it says that the username is already taken. Can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong? This is overly frustrating. Small update. It appears that both the user and database were created. I can log in remotely with the user, and phpmyadmin shows the database, but now I have no way to associate the two since neither show up in CPanel and I don't have the privs to do so from my main mysql account.

I figured it would be something like that. At least this script is only something I was messing with, and not required to run hourly. Thank you very much.

Is there anything special we have to do to be able to use this? I found the login page(panel.helionet.org/login) but it doesn't accept my account in either of the fields.

Hello again, I was working on a small script that simply sends an email hourly. The script is in php and I set up a cron task to run it hourly using "php -q /home/fletch/public_html/send.php >/dev/null". I save the page, and the task stays, but if I wait a while then go back, the task is no longer there. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks! Fletch

Hello all, I'm new here so bear with me. I have looked through the FAQ and wiki pages for an answer, but with no luck. I was wondering if it was possible to request the addition of a Python library(specifically "BeautifulSoup" found here - http://pypi.python.org/pypi/BeautifulSoup/3.2.0). I have a script written using this library that I would like to host with my site here on heliohost, but the site is useless without it. I noticed the HTMLParser library listed here(http://area52.heliohost.org/cgi-bin/snakecharmer.py), but that library isn't nearly as easy to use. Thank you!
