Hey man, my domain's still not working right-- Godaddy confirmed that the dns nameservers are pointed correctly here. So, I'm wondering if maybe my account didn't get activated?

T-mobile might very well be better. But we already have an att family plan, plus att really big in this area and att to att calls don't cost minutes, so... That's cool though, that it should download it. It doesn't matter if the phone knows what it is or if it can read it..just as long as it can download it. I'm thinking about getting a new phone here. It'll be a blackjack 2--on sale at wallmart for dirt cheap right now. I guess I'll be getting the unlimited data plan with it. So my question is, if I go on the web and download something to a microsd card(first of all, can I do this?) then move that card to the pc, will it transfer right? I guess it will if I get it on the card so can you download stuff like that to microsd cards?

He'll get around to approving them when he get's time--then you'll be fully functional, or should be...make sure you upload the dns nameservers though, otherwise, if you wait til after he approves the account, you'll be waiting another 24-72 hours for those to do whatever it is dns nameservers have to do...

Well, I went ahead and signed up for a different account. I guess you can just delete the other one at your leisure. By the way, I hope the new home page is coming along...I don't care for this current one; I don't even know what a roxxor is. Yeah, I believe gimp has something that you can save it real small. You might also be able to use ifranview to shrink it. Anyway, look at my avatar and see if you want to heed my advice. That's what I was able to make in gimp...(it sucks, but at least it's not really, really bad)

Cpanel login should be jjpriest I appreciate it, man. I fooled around with some other free hosts while I was waiting for you to respond here, and honestly, they just don't compare to this. I tried freehostia and it's just not the same. So, like I said, I appreciate what you do here.

Not sure if it's my imagination, but I think this is loading faster.... My internet connection isn't really the same everyday though, so this could just be a fast day. Only took 25-30 seconds to load the homepage--with it not being in history

I'm having trouble following this... So the idea is, from this point forward, to get a domain, someone would have to post four hundred times? So, theoretically, if someone had 399 whenever this was implemented, they could get the domain once they reached 799, or is it just 400? By the way, this idea you guys are talking about probably won't work...noobies trying to learn won't learn much from buying that stuff in the store. As far as any programming, other than visual basic, goes, I'm a complete noob. I barely know HTML! I find it really hard to pick up stuff from looking at scripts, code, etc... could just be me though...

I never responded when you replied by asking 'what to put in the store'. Maybe you could put some upgraded bandwidths, upgraded storage, and maybe some other stuff (had it in my mind earlier today when the geography teacher was droning on, but can't remember it) along with the domains.

seems to me that people only read FAQs some of the time...like when they are having a problem or are incredibly bored. Even if you somehow force the faq upon newly registered users, they probably wouldn't read it--kinda like the EULA or whatever that comes with software. Who actually reads that?

I don't think the chatroom is worth it. Effectively, that is what the other discussion should be--basically a chat room--without the characteristics of a chatroom, just the topics.. Anyway, I just had an "idea for Helionet.org" as the title says. I know it's a very important part of helionet to have message sent by the big bold red letters at the top of the page, but to me it seems rather---I don't know, bad. I think I would rather have something less obtrusive there stating: no spamming, read the guidelines; and then have maybe something more conspicuous down at the bottom of the page. I have a slow internet connection so I spend a lot of time looking at that for the page to load so that's what gave me the idea.

Your spam hurts my eyes, please quit it. @empjoe 1. If by heliohost you mean a hosting account, I'm pretty sure/positive that it's free now. 2. If I understand it correctly, the system is changing so that people who deserve domains can still get them--just without helions. They just need to have five hundred posts. @Wizard But he's working sohard! "people like me that are working" Ha! He's got SIX whole posts. I feel kinda bad though. I'm pretty sure I used to spam--at least a little bit.

Is it really a big deal anyway? I'm pretty careless with my email but I don't really get that much spam. I mean I do get spam, but gmail is really good at sorting through it. Of course I get less than 10 emails a day, so that makes it easier I guess... If you get 100 legitimate emails a day it would be hard to know when gmail accidentally spams a valid email...
