  1. I have tried to login to Stevie the last couple of days to do backups. But I keep getting login invalid when it is my password. I did see there may have been a DoS attack, has this been sorted? I checked my website but my account has been suspended. I can't reactivate it due to not receiving the link via email. robdog75 Stevie robgregg.co.uk
  2. Yeah! I just kept getting a blank page on phpmyAdmin before. Then saw your suggestion to someone else with the same problem. So I re-entered the same password as a new one earlier. It didn't work to start with. Then I was going to do a new one, but what I did earlier worked. But it was the wpedit database I had edited after the read only mode crash the one I use now had been deleted. I deleted the original one that went into read only mode this morning. But all sorted now. Cheers for letting me know
  3. Update! I managed to get onto myphpAdmin. Only to discover my database for my website had been deleted. Whether I had deleted it earlier maybe the case as I had two databases originally one called robdog75_wp which went into read only mode when Stevie crashed ages ago. After changing the InnoDB parts to MyISAM I created a new one called robdog75_wpedit and imported the backup. Since I kept getting the Error establishing a database connection. I changed the users and password in cpanel and deleted the old database. But as I mentioned I could not get onto MyphpAdmin. Once I did and discovered no database I created an empty one and imported a recent backup. My website is running again. But how do I switch the new database from latin_swedish... to utf8? Or don't I need to worry about it. Thanks.

  5. I have just created a new user and assigned all privlieges to the user and created a new password on MySql in cpanel and added them to the config php file. Except now I keep getting the Error establishing a database connection message or Internal Server error. I have already had to fix this once before already when Stevie crashed ages ago and put the database in read only mode. Fixed it and everything was working fine until it crashed again I'm beginning to get a bit hacked off with this , as I don't know what I'm doing. I can't access MyPhpAdmin as I get a blank page and I can't access my Wordpress dashboard. This has been going on for months now. I need my website working for job applications. I have just tried to repair the DB in MySql and get this. Got the same error checking the DB Error from MySQL query: DBD::mysql::db do failed: Unknown database 'robdog75_wpedit'Failed to use robdog75_wpedit: Unknown database 'robdog75_wpedit'
  6. Hello. I am having a problem reactivating my account. I put my username in and the reactivation process starts. But it just keeps ticking over and not reactivating my account. I left it running for hours yesterday when I got back it was still ticking over. When it used to do it in a matter of seconds before. robdog75 Stevie robgregg.co.uk
  7. Ok! Sounds similar to what happened before minus editing the database got loads of backups. Just a bit hesitant to creating a new database as MyPHPAdmin just came up as a blank page in Chrome and Firefox when I tried it earlier.
  8. Hello. I keep getting the error establishing a database connection each time I attempt to access my Wordpress dashboard and my website. I changed the InnoDB to MyISAM ages ago. How do I fix this please? Rob robdog75
  9. Hello. I have just activated my account after discovering it was suspended. My question is why was it suspended? When I logged in to perfoem a backup on the 5th January. Robdog75 Stevie robgregg.co.uk
  10. The only solution seems to be editing the database and switching the InnoDB tables to MyISAM, then creating a new database and uploading the edited one to it. I did this and my website has worked fine since. I used 7zip to get gz compression as Winrar, Winzip don't seem to do this. As regard removing the old database that was corrupted when Stevie originally crashed. You need to raise a support ticket and one of the admins will remove it for you. I haven't bothered yet getting my old database removed as I have had no problems since adding a new, edited database. The only issue I had was when Stevie went down for 24 hours a month or so ago. I was trying to send a proposal to a freelancing website for a job, and needed to get a link for my website and tested it to make sure it was working. Stevie was ko'd at the time, so had to hold fire on sending my proposal.
  11. Ok! Thanks. I have managed to get my website and dashboard working. I just changed the username on my new database added it, assigned privileges. So all good now. Thanks for the help Wolstech.
  12. I have managed to do that Naja as managed to delete the spam comments via my new database. However I deleted the old database in MySQL Databases after creating the new one. The old one is still listed in phpMyAdmin and won't delete due to #2002 server connection error. I have raised a question about it to get someone to look at it for me.
  13. Hello. I am having a problem loading my website and Wordpress dashboard. On Monday I kept getting a 500 Internal Server Error, Tuesday it was working fine. I have been able to look at my website, but not edit it due to Stevie crashing seven weeks ago and the database going into read only mode. I had been waiting for it to be fixed. In the end I tried Wolstech solution of editing a backup of my database to change the Innodb tables to MyISAM in a text editor. This I have done and I have created a new database in MySQL Databases and imported the data via phpMyAdmin. I then edited my config.php file in File Manager to add the new password for the database and the new database name 'robdog75_wpedit', I kept my username from the old database and added that to the new one in MySQL Databases. I then deleted the old database 'robdog75_wp' in MySQL Databases, so I only have the new one which is listed in cPanel. I then went into phpMyAdmin where I managed to delete the two spam comments from my new database. However the old one is still on there. I tried to drop the old database but got the #2002 server connection error. So if anyone can have a look at it for me please that would be appreciated as I am on the verge of going into Hulk mode here. Thanks Rob robdog75 Unitas2175 Stevie
