  1. C++ and when I was like 12, GM I use html and php on he internet mostly.
  2. Tough choice between physics and chemistry, but I went with chemistry. I love the concept of all the different elements that make different chemicals in different combinations.
  3. I was just reading The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy yesterday, though I have read it before; it's my favorite book.
  4. Regardless of validity, I think this is interesting either way, but I would like some sources. Where did you get this information, and is it credible?
  5. I think you may have to just wait a while for it to update. I always noticed mine acting like that and it was fine when I checked back later. But that doesn't deny any possibility that you are still receiving some mistake.
  6. Apparently everyone forgot the rules of the game.
  7. Fantastico is a program in your cpanel which can auto install many popular online scripts. Such as php forums and other useful programs. FTP is File Transfer Protocol. It allows you to browse the contents of the server and edit/add/modify files. CHMOD sets the permissions on the files. Those are the basics.
  8. I'm planning on buying a computer maybe withing a year, about $1,000 to $2,000. I'm not really sure though. Yeah, I like to use my computer to play games and I do some programming. Thanks for your reply.
  9. I'm interested in getting Super Mario Galaxy. I hope it lives up to it's reviews. Most modern games are kinda... un-unique... (I lack a better word) I was very pleased with Twilight Princess, though. Super Paper Mario was fun too but it's kinda getting old and I didn't really like
  10. Hey guys, I'm not too good with hardware. In class we were discussing AMD v.s. Intel and all that stuff. I stayed out because I don't know much. Basically I think I hear them mention: 1. Intel has a higher clock speed 2. AMD can execute commands more quickly which kinda balances out. What do you guys know? This is probably one of those functionality v.s. practicality things, it depends on how it's being used, right?
  11. Hmm, this interests me. Could you describe your unique OS ideas? How about a sample of code for one of your modules?
  12. at least 30 minutes a day, but on the weekends maybe 3 or 4 hours. So I would say about 8.
  13. Indeed, it's quite excellent. It's how I found 4FN, which led me to this host : )
  14. 40gb/s (5Gigabytes per second) is the fastest home internet speed ever attained. I believe, if I remember correctly, the fastest individual transfer ever (unrelated to the above connection) was about 2terabits/s. I think I remember incorrectly, it just doesn't look right :/
  15. Oh my god. The lack of intelligence is astounding. Learn your prefixes, guys. All of the following prefixes are in the metric base 10 system, but are used in computer measurements as 2^10 (1024) is comparable to 10^3 (1000). Bit = 1 single signal of information, has 2 possibilities: 1 or 0. Usually represented in data storage as "on" or "off." Byte = 8 bits long, has 256 possibilities 0000-0000 through 1111-1111. A convenient measurement to use because it can represent all the letters, numbers, and many symbols. Kilo = 10^3, 1000, 2^10, 1024, "thousand" Mega = 10^6, 1000000, 2^20, 1048576, "million" Giga = 10^9, 1000000000, 2^30, 1073741824, "billion" Tera = 10^12, 1000000000000, 2^40, 1099511627776, "trillion" I do not use commas or periods, as to not confuse foreigners. EDIT: No source, my own knowledge, please correct me if necessary.
  16. Sports. Video games of sports are completely useless.
  17. I really have no idea, but I guess they might do it in flash if it is a flash based website :/ Have you found a solution yet?
  18. If this is relevant, I think it wouldn't save passwords, would it? It would probably use MD5 for security or something. But he could still always change it and send you the new one.
  19. Just confirming the situation. It's not just one person
  20. Wait, oh I see. I thought you meant you were making 3d models in C++. Have you made any non text based only C++ programs? Even if it was just drawing a line?
  21. I'd hate to be the guy to get off topic in this manner, but I swear I posted another response to this thread. Did it get deleted or what? All my othr posts from yesterday seem to have gone through. I don't care if it got deleted it's just now I'm getting a paranoid feeling like it was a dream or something :/ If it did get deleted, then just -10 me for this post.
  22. Oh, does Northern English not have capitalization, periods, apostrophes, commas, and other grammatical symbols then? Hahaha. You remind me of my older brother. I bet you're freakin' hilarious in real life. But something about the spammers I've noticed. I don't think it's that they are foreign because I know people from all around the world who can speak much better English than anyone I know. I really think the spammers are just 12 year olds with zero internet/comprehension skills using foreign as an excuse. They are a complete insult to non-first language English speakers.
  23. I like this encouraging movement for good posts. Djbob could offer some prize for well behaved, helpful, intelligent, active members. Just a small amount though but enough to encourage good competition. Or maybe like a free month of plus hosting or something. Don't select me for this prize (karath)
  24. Oh god I fail at life so hard firefox didn't catch that one, why not? : / not that I always rely on FF for spelling.
  25. googolplexian : ) googol: imagine a "1" with 100 "0"s following it. googolplex: now imagine counting to the number googol and for every interger add a following "0" Just writing it out in notepad would be a file 1x10^100 bytes long, and a gigabyte is only 1x10^9 (or more appropriately 1x2^30). googolplexian Now do that same process : )
