  1. OK thanks. Will wait and see what happens. (Also completely forgot about the monitor and will check it first next time )
  2. Hello, I cannot login to cpanel (through Heliohost not directly with cpanel) - tried changing password twice and error with that. Did log in earlier today with no problems. Is there an issue of some sort at the moment?
  3. OK, "Dopey Dave" here - I noticed that phppgadmin showed db as 26mb and cpanel showed 0.00mb - and then noticed I didn't have any users - ooops . Added user and dumps fine now (you probably heard the scream about ten minutes ago). (Amazing how I got caught up in the minutiae and don't look at the basics - trees and forests.) (cpanel still shows as 0.00mb but it all works so not going to worry about.) Thanks for looking at, Dave
  4. Hello, Am trying to dump db through phpPgAdmin and cannot get a successful dump. A screen shot of the settings is attached. Have checked these forums and googled around but can only find instructions to set up as shown in the screen shot. What am I doing wrong? (Have also changed password as suggested years ago in these forums just in case this was still an issue.) thanks, Dave
  5. Thanks - just tried Squirrelmail and it sends OK to me at my personal email - but did not receive one I sent to it. I'll leave it for now as the emails from Moodle are working OK so not really an issue as the students do not need to reply. I know about the mysql database problem - I changed to a postgresql database and am having no problems at all (this was mentioned in one of the posts on the current problem - that postegresql is not affected and not many people actually use it anyway - Moodle is OK with postgresql).
  6. Hello, Having a bit of an issue with email access directly from cpanel. I tried sending and email to my Heliohost email address and it bounced back as undeliverable. Accessing the webmail direct from cpanel and cannot access as follows: Through cpanel webmail - "Roundcube" - gives the following (cookies are enabled): "The page isn’t redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies." Through cpanel webmail - "Horde" - gives the following: "HTTP error 404 The requested page was not found. Possible reasons why you are seeing this page: A bookmarked URL may have changed since you last visited. The URL was entered incorrectly. The URL was entered with inaccurate capitalization (URLs are case sensitive). Please re-check the URL you are trying to reach. (Go Back)" The Horde one is a bit weird as again it is directly from cpanel - not through a url. I am using Moodle and enrolled a dummy student and the email from Moodle welcoming the student through HelioHost to my email personal address came through OK - so emails are working as such. Just cannot access through webmail. Any suggestions? thanks, Dave
  7. Will do - I forgot about the report button.
  8. OK. Annoying about the bots. Do you want us to keep reporting this sort of stuff - or are you guys/girls onto it anyway?
  9. Hello, This users posts are a bit spammy - online gambling (I guess from some words - can't read whatever language it is). Also other user names - not sure how many - but here's two - VingeCarf and ,
  10. Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia - best place on earth - search for it (and drool!)
  11. Online I have used smallpdf_dot_com - they offer heaps of free converters relating to pdf's including doc to pdf. LibreOffice suite has native PDF converter installed - LibreOffice handless doc and docx really well.
  12. Hi people, (Deleted my HelioHost account by mistake - just managed to set up a new one today.) Anyway - glad to help with pointing out this little problem. Thanks, Dave
  13. Hello, Just to let you know that this link - http://heliohost.org/banners/helio_banner_728x90.png - on this wiki page - http://wiki.helionet.org/Advertising_for_us - returns a 404 not found error (for me anyway).
  14. Hi Krydos, Don't worry about this anymore - I've installed ATutor LMS and eFront LMS through Softaculous (and the installations seem to have worked without any issues) which will be equally as good as Forma LMS, and eFront LMS is probably better in some respects. I'll look at both and decide which one will suit me best and then delete the other one. (Forma LMS is very similar to eFront LMS, ATutor LMS is a bit more basic.) Anyway, thanks again for your help. Dave
  15. There's a couple here: http://www.elearningcommunity.net/forum/search.php?keywords=step+2+mime&fid%5B0%5D=2&sid=95b6bcfdcf8a88e033e52df019bf2713 This one's probably more useful - particularly post 2 with some links: http://www.elearningcommunity.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12582&p=17426&hilit=installation#p17426 although the links seem to go to the other ones above. Interesting that one posted commented that "It is the mime_content_type() OFF issue that others have had" - so might be more common than the posts I have found. Thanks, Dave
  16. This is link to Forma LMS home page: www.formalms.org (nothing there about system requirements as such). This is link to the Forma LMS manuals - first pages are on installtion: https://sourceforge.net/projects/forma/files/manuals/ This is from the 'read me' in the package: 2. REQUIREMENTS Server specs: Linux, Windows, MacOs, Unix, Sun with - Apache 2.0.x or above - PHP 5.2.x or 5.3.x 5.4.x 5.5.x and 5.6.x - Mysql 5.0 or higher with transaction support - Doesn't matter if safe mode or register global are on or off - If you need to test on your windows home pc we suggest easyphp, wamp or xampp 3. INSTALL PROCEDURE - Be sure you have your database parameters (host, user, password, dbname) available - Be sure you have your ftp parameters (host, user, password), if you want use FTP upload - Before install, create the database on your dbserver (you can use a db admin tool as phpmyadmin) - If you are on your home pc with your easyphp/wamp/xampp create a database trought http://localhost/mysql/ or http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ - Upload all the files in your root directory or a subfolder - Launch http://www.yoursite.com/install/ - Follow installation instructions Note: At the end step of install procedure, the system will load XML file languages, Depending on number of languagse chosen, this operation can take some time in order to complete That's all I can find. Dave
  17. Hi, Linux MInt 18, Firefox 49.0. OpenJDK version 1.8.0_91 (Thanks for the 'solved' answer also) Dave
  18. Hello everyone, Trying to install a learning management system called Forma (well known) and get stuck at it's install step 2 with the following information listed: Server software : : Apache/2.2.16 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.16 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_wsgi/3.3 Python/2.7.1 PHP Version : : 5.3.8 Mysql Client Version : : 5.1.73 Multibyte Support: ON mime_content_type() support: OFF Ldap : : OFF Consider this warning only if you need to use LDAP Openssl : : ON Site Timezone: America/Los_Angeles The mime content support is the problem as it shows as OFF. I looked through cPanel at the mime page and there are a million or so types there - but cannot figure why the install shows as off. Looking through the FormaLMS forums this seems a common problem and they seem to say that it is an issue that I cannot fix but something the host needs to have a look at at. (I have this installed on another paid host and all works fine - but I want to swap to Heliohost). Is this correct? Can I turn on mime support? If not, how do I request mime support to be turned on? Thanks, Dave.
  19. Hi Krydos, I originally had, I think, 13 or 14 - mixture of numbers, letters, characters etc. Tried many times by changing the password to a smaller number, 6 or 7, and still greyed out - this was by cut and paste from where I had the password written down. One time I entered by cut and paste the password, 13 or so, and backspaced a few - 3 or 4 - and the greyed out button lit up. Once it was lit up I then entered the full 13 numbers again all was OK. I never actually typed the numbers in - only by cut and paste - so not sure if would show same behaviour when directly typing in the password. Hope this explains well enough. (I notice you are admin so a quick question - how do you mark this as 'solved' - I've looked everywhere and cannot spot it.) Thanks, Dave
  20. OK figured it out - my password was too long - deleted a few characters and it works fine.
  21. Hi everyone, Just going through new account sign up - as server is available - but when I get to the set password section I enter the password and confirmation, tells me I have a great password, but the 'next' button is greyed out and I cannot proceed. Any thoughts?
