  1. Hi, I have account like "channel.heliohost.org", which works, but subdomain like 1,channel.heliohost.org - Doesn't... any ideas?
  2. Username:mdiary The server : Stevie HelioHost main domain : http://mdiary.tk Sir, Yesterday I added an new sub domain http://next.mdiary.tk it has already been more than 24 hrs yet it has not been activated Please activate it and please clarify normally how many hrs does it take to activate an subdomain ?
  3. Dear sir, I added a domain www.nirmalacorp.com about 3 days ago. The domain showed up after 24 hours. However mail.nirmalacorp.com still shows the "setting up" page. I tried clearing up the cache but it does not work even now. Further when i try to login to the email account, roundcube does not recognise the email id, horde does not give me permissions, whereas i am able to login using squirrel mail. Mails are successfully being sent and recieved using squirrelmail. I am lost as to what the problem is, and what is taking so long to setup the subdomain. ~Rahul Krishna
  4. I created some subdomains, and they seem ok, and work as mysite.com/subdomain but they don't work as subdomain.mysite.com what's wrong?
  5. Hi – I am trying to create an addon domain for an existing website and have run into an issue. After entering the necessary info on the CPanel Addon Domains page, I get the following error message: Error from park wrapper: Using nameservers with the following IPs: 208.109.255.42,216.69.185.42 Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver. I already realize that the domain in question (pabwebsolutions.com) does not currently point to one of your web servers. As this is an existing site, my plan was create the add-on domain, create a subdomain for that site, and then replicate the website on that new subdomain. That way, I could confirm things were working correctly before officially moving the main website. This domain already has multiple subdomains on multiple web hosts and I control where they are hosted via A records on the registrar (GoDaddy). I would prefer to continue using GoDaddy’s name servers for this domain and not change to your name servers. (As an experiment, I did add your name servers as NS records on the remote chance this would satisfy your automated system check – it didn’t.) Checking previous posts, I found an individual with a very similar problem: http://www.helionet....n-to-heliohost/ The following entry summarizes that resolution - “The system prevents domains that aren't pointed at our servers from being added for security reasons. An admin can override this protection though and add the domain for you.” Please advise if there is an alternate approach to add “pabwebsolutions.com” as an add-on domain while still retaining GoDaddy nameservers. Otherwise, I would request an admin add “pabwebsolutions.com” as an add-on domain to my main domain pab49162.heliohost.org. Thanks in advance for your assistance - Paul
  6. Is it possible to redirect my " subdomain.mysite.com " to " facebook.com/myFacebookPage " ?
  7. The old Document Root of the wildcard "*.firm.tk" subdomain is "/public_html/domains". And I've change it now to "/public_html" and the system print such as its document root has been updated. But until now, when I visit the URL "blog.firm.tk", it looks like its document root is still at "/public_html/domains" because I'm still seeing its subdirectory "cgi-bin/" that's listed therein the main web page. Could any admin fix it? Could you please really update the document root of the wildcard "*.firm.tk" subdomain to the "/public_html" directory? Thanks!
  8. I'm trying to add the "jimbo1qaz.ro.lt" addon domain to my "jimbo1qa" account, with main domain jimmyli.org . But the system won't let me, complaining that "ro.lt" 's nameservers are pointing to ns1-4.afraid.org, instead of looking at "jimbo1qaz.ro.lt", which does point to the HelioHost nameservers.
  9. Hi, i made a subdomain and it is activated now . what must i do to use it ? what changes i must do to htaccess file ?
  10. Good day! There is a problem with my account. I have set-up a subdomain but when I try to access it, it cannot be found. Thanks.
  11. Hello, I am having an issue with the HelioHost web hosting service. I am having a "404 Not Found" error on every subdomain and main domain on my account. There isn't a public_html folder anymore in my cPanel control panel. Is everyone having the same issue or is this account-bound? Thanks!
  12. Mam/Sir, http://www.firm.tk/ has test/ directory and it's already had an index.htm file. So, you could check it at: www.firm.tk/test/ The things that I've did are, I add a *.firm.tk subdomain and paste this code on the .htaccess file: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^([^/.]+)\.firm\.tk$ RewriteRule ^ %1%{REQUEST_URI} [L] And that's all, but why test.firm.tk subdomain doesn't rewriting yet to www.firm.tk/test/ directory? Did I do something wrong? Or a HelioHost Support need to mentioned first to be able that domain to perform a wildcard subdomain? Please help and teach me a little bit to correct what I am doing, if I'm coding wrong, thank you!
  13. I X-posted this same question on WordPress' own forums just a little while ago, but I wanted to ask here as well since I figured Helio would be more familiar with the workings of their own sites (and some of my previous issues). So I finally got my domain names set up, and now am ready to get things into gear regarding my website. I use the Multisite system of WordPress because in the future, I may be looking to add other blogs to my "network" as time goes on and I get more comfortable with blogging in general. However, now that I have a domain of my own I will need to change things with regards to how URLs in WordPress are displayed. I also am seeking to relocate the WordPress system itself to a subfolder of the root. Right now WordPress sits at a subdomain.heliohost.org URL, with the "static homepage" of my current blog at the root, and the "blog page" under subdomain.heliohost.org/myblog. Not only am I looking to change the URL (via the "Parked Domains" section of cPanel) to the top-level domains I had ordered, but want to have a physical move of the WordPress install to a subfolder on the server. So what I want is for the physical location of the Multisite database to be a subfolder like /wp or /wordpress, and for the individual blog(s) to have URLs like blog1.mysite.com and blog2.mysite.com or mysite.com/blog1 and mysite.com/blog2 (with content reading as blog1.mysite.com/this-is-an-article or mysite.com/blog1/this-is-an-article). I'm not even sure if this is possible; from what I understand of WordPress' own documentation (and other sites delivering howtos on this subject), it is, but is difficult (especially for "beginners"), and requires some extra steps depending on how comprehensive your Multisite network happens to be. As of right now, there is only one blog, but as I'd also mentioned, I plan to add others in the future, and Multisite allows for that without having separate WordPress installs on the same server. What I'm basically asking, once more, as I had with the question about DNS and domain configuration, is which to do first. Do I configure my Parked Domains in the cPanel interface first, and then make the physical move, or do the physical move first (moving WordPress from subdomain.heliohost.org to subdomain.heliohost.org/wordpress) and then configure Parked Domains, replacing content as necessary (mysite.com/wordpress) i.e. with the popular, recommended Search & Replace Script? Also, since I have two domains (a .com and a .net) that I'll be looking to have as the main domain for my site (both of which pointing to the same content), how would I go about ensuring that each of these goes to the same location when relocating/changing the Multisite install, so that mysite.com/blog1 displays the same as mysite.net/blog1 or blog1.mysite.com = blog1.mysite.net? Is it enough to just have subdomain.heliohost.org point via Parked Domains to my .com and .net, or is there something in WordPress that I will need to configure too?
  14. Hi, Does anyone have any good recommendations for creating a test enviroment for WordPress? Ideally, I would like to have my main domain example.com access my live site, and have a test.example.com access my test site. I would like the test site to be live. For example, if any of my users use test.example.com they can make post etc, and they will be displayed on the live site. However, I would like any changes. In terms of themes, plugins, widgets, etc on the test site to not effect the live site. After I've made changes to the test site that I'm happy with, I would like to be able to propergate thoses changes to the live site. If this is at all possible then this could be layerd. For example, I could have a test site that I would on. Then a beta site that I can use to get other people to test, and the finally my live site. Any ideas?
  15. An admin can override this protection though and add the domain for you.
  16. Hello, I'm moved to this host, cuz prev. host stopped. But when I moved, the htaccess wont work What's wrong? I already added the *.wwwz.tk subdomain to public_html I think everyting is set the same as prev. server, but still not thanks.
  17. I have tried to create a subdomain network with the documentation provided at http://codex.wordpre...reate_A_Network, however, it seems I am having trouble! Here's what I did: Create a wildcard domain in cPanel (ex: *.yoursite.heliohost.org) Use the instructions provided above to enable a subdomain network Create a new non-existent subdomain site under the WP network settings (ex: somerandomwebsite999.yoursite.heliohost.org) ...and you run into this: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/ on this server. Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/2.2.21 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.21 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 Phusion_Passenger/3.0.11 mod_mono/2.6.3 mod_jk/1.2.30 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_fcgid/2.3.6 mod_wsgi/3.3 Python/2.7.1 Server at somerandomwebsite999.yoursite.heliohost.org Port 80So.. what did i do wrong? Is it impossible to create a WP subdomain network? Please let me know in a reply. Thanks!
