dbagley Posted December 20, 2011 Share Posted December 20, 2011 I am having a lot of connection problems on Johnny. I don't know if you guys are aware. I have been using the code editor in the file manager, and notepad mostly to do all of the coding for my site so far. I am not able to get a stable enough connection via ftp to use visual studio or shiftedit. Usually I am able to navigate my website for roughly 15 to 30 minutes then I will be unable to connect to my website for another 10 to 15 minutes. When using ftp in my IDE I am able to connect for roughly a minute or two, and then the site will be down for 10-15 minutes. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
xwinuser Posted December 22, 2011 Share Posted December 22, 2011 It is just the nature of the Johnny server. I am on Johnny and I use notepad and mostly a third party FTP client. I use cPanel occasionally but yeah you are not going to be able to connect to ftp for long periods of time even if you remain active.
