[Solved] Anchor Cms

I'd like to use this software on my hosting. Is there in any case my MySQL version can be updated to 5.2+?

I'm currently on Johnny, but will be following the procedure to move to Stevie. I'm just wondering if it's at all possible for my MySQL version to be bumped up when I do to at least 5.2?

Thanks in advance.

Their website says 5.2, but AnchorCMS should run on 5.1, or it least it used to (not sure if it still does).

It worked on Stevie as of 2 months ago when I last had it installed. It said 5.2 then, Stevie has 5.1.56, and it ran fine.

This support request is being escalated to our root admin.

Thanks although I'm going to move over to Stevie soon, probably should have just done that first.

People who move their account to Stevie have to get an account when they're available just like everyone else. You'll need to do the same.

If we allowed people to move their account freely without waiting for the limit to reset, people would make a johnny account then immediately ask if they can move it. The limit is there so Stevie doesn't get bogged down. Account creations are rather resource intensive from what I understand, and simply having too many users could also cause performance issues.

Fair enough, worth a try. Thanks I'll keep trying. :)

You don't have to keep trying over and over. Signups on Stevie are limited by number each day to help keep that server fast and stable and have a high uptime. You can see when signups reset with this link http://bybyron.net/helio/sign-up.php and you just need to create an account before they fill up for the day which is usually 3-12 hours after signups open. You can tell how long signups on Stevie were open each day for the last several years with this link http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/

Thanks, useful info.

I've set an alarm on my phone so I don't forget to sign up after the signups reset ;)
