jamboy1
Whats your fave messenger? Mines IMVU, best place to meet people of your own age and have fun
Wizard
IMVU is sorta overkill. Instant messaging started as text and is most efficient that way... 3d avatars are alright, but it's all just shiny stuff. I use Pidgin, cross-platform, multiple protocol messneger. Open source ftw. AverageJoe
I also use pidgin, due to it's ability to communicate with any IM client, as well as IRC. I used to use meebo, however.
Kyougi
Gajim for me. Jabber rules the OSS world. I use Pidgin, cross-platform, multiple protocol messneger. Open source ftw. Pfft. Pidgin connects to proprietary internet messaging networks (sans Jabber). The source might be free, but the networks you use aren't.

JcX
in my country, windows live is the hottest and best (according to them) but i would prefer Skype since audio and video messaging is what i always hope for!

Frankie
Pidgin on linux and windows live messenger on Windows. how to search for others who are online in MSN live.. Is that supposed to be a question?
Ashoat
I use Windows Live Messenger almost exclusively Pfft. Pidgin connects to proprietary internet messaging networks (sans Jabber). The source might be free, but the networks you use aren't.You use WLM too, mister open source
AverageJoe
I only go on to IRC chatrooms now. I use xchat on debian and the free one on windows. The people are much more competent, and the entire chat isn't a competition on seeing how many "tla's" you can use in one sentence fragment.
