lauracol
I created a java web app on Netbeans and am looking to upload it on HelioHost. I have a Johnny account and am wondering how I can host the web app I created on the cPanel?
wolstech
First, request Java and wait for it to be enabled. You can do that in cPanel under the "Software" section using the Java option. Be aware that the "wait for it to be enabled" is currently about 6 weeks (if you need it sooner, you will need to move to Tommy where the wait is only 2 days). Once enabled, there will be a form on the request page that lets you deploy a WAR file. Alternately, you can upload a folder plain JSP files to public_html and run them. lauracol
How do I switch to the Tommy server as I need access sooner than 6 weeks?
wolstech
For a free account, you would need to sign up at midnight UTC when registrations are open. Be aware that Tommy usually fills for the day within 10 seconds of midnight, making it nearly impossible to get for free. If you don't want to risk not getting an account at midnight, donating $1 or more will let you create an account as well (you'll receive an email within 24 hours of donating that contains a special link to create it, or you can post the transaction ID here and I'll send it when I see the post).
