oceflat
If I delete the account, how do I contact you? Will the account that I currently use in the Forum be deleted?
flazepe
Your forum account won't be deleted. Only your hosting account.
Krydos
There you go http://oceflat.heliohost.org/ Please be aware that glype is extremely resource hungry and will likely result in your account being suspended for high load. You're welcome to run it if you want, but don't be surprised if you get suspended.
oceflat
What if it's CGI? Am I mine to be suspended too?
wolstech
Proxies in general cause a lot of load, no matter which one you use. The best advice is to either buy a VPS (https://heliohost.org/vps/ ) and run it on that, or not run a proxy at all. With a VPS you can do whatever you please and you're only limited by the RAM and CPU of the VPS you buy. By having a VPS, you won't get suspended for overusing resources, it just slows down. Most free hosts actually ban running proxies. While we do technically allow it on our free shared hosting, they don't work all that well here due to the resource usage and often get users suspended. Krydos
You could even run a personal VPN on a VPS. That's even better than a simple web proxy.
wolstech
Indeed. Supports pretty much every networked appplication out there if you use the right software. It's also a lot more resource efficient...
