You can’t use the same email address that you have it on your old Tommy account and use it a temporary account on Ricky. Just wait until all of the old Tommy accounts are delete it and then you can use it on your temporary account.

Welp, there goes that. I used my old email from my Tommy account to create a Ricky account. RIP backup.

Well, if you don’t want to create a temporary account on Ricky, you could just grab your backup files from heliohost.org/backup when it becomes available and just save it into your computer until Tommy Server is back online. Please note that when we going to replace a new hard drive, all Tommy Accounts will be gone and yes you can use your same email address to signup again on Tommy Server.

@jenovaon: We can email it to you manually if it doesn't work. The reason you're supposed to not have the email address released is because we have to change the TLD to .old to release it. An email to (you)@domain.old will obviously get lost if (you)@domain.com is the real domain.

No. Your old Tommy account will be gone. You have to create a new account on Ricky and upload your backup there. Once Tommy is back up, your Ricky account will be moved back there.

Tommy will be back up at least at the end of the month.

So if I wanted to have the same email address for my account and the same domain for my website when Tommy is back on, what should I do?

 

Should I:

1. When the backups come out, request my email address and domain to be released from Tommy, create a temporary account on Ricky with that same email address and domain, upload the backup on that account, and then ask to be transferred to Tommy when Tommy is fixed,

2. Wait and when Tommy is fixed, create an account on Tommy with that same email/domain, and then upload my backup

3. Create another account on Ricky with a different email address/domain and then when Tommy is fixed, request my data to be transferred to my other account

4. We can never use the same email/domain again

 

Also -- if we do make another account do we have to wait till midnight UTC for an opening?

 

Sorry for the bulk of questions but I appreciate the help.

It’s up to you if you want to wait for Tommy Server to be fixed, but if there’s something really important that you need your site to be up, create a temporary account on Ricky using a different email address and username. If you are using a custom domain, just make a request in the “Customer Service” category to have your custom domain remove from your old Tommy account and use it on Ricky. For .heliohost.org domain, we will have to change it to something else so that you can use a same domain on your Ricky account. Note that backup files are not available yet. Our root admin is still in process moving everyone’s backup files over to the backup system at heliohost.org/backup. Announcement will be made in the “News” category when it is ready. After Tommy Server is back online, just make a request in the “Customer Service” category to have your account move back to Tommy. Just tell them what is your old Tommy username.

 

 

Also, if you don’t want to wait in line for the signup button on Ricky Server to be available, you can make a donation of minimum $1.00 at heliohost.org/donate. After that, paste your transaction ID in the “Customer Service” category (not here) and our root admin will send you an invitation to your email address so you can signup quicker.

Hi, I'm one of those affected by Tommy's problem.
I created a new account with another email in Jonny.
I still don't have any sites running.
I'm trying to fix it but it's crazy. I don't have my databases that were updated.
I can't get the domains hosted.
You don't give me the backup or my files.
I'm desperate.

 

 i found that you send me a wrong backup, this backup it is from a old account.

The user that i was using in tommy was "thorastu" and not "thorast", thorast i am using it only here in forum, so please can you search for my files?.

Only the files html must be about 20 mb and the size of databases i don´t know but it is very important to me to have the databases.

In the other hand, we need to made new databases, new mails, new passwords, new directorys, etc?, I am confused, i think all work for do the websites it is lost, :(

Yes it will. Cpanel does not allow you to install old versions.

Yay! New CPanel means that I can upload more software. Right now, I am on Ricky. Will I get an invite once everything is OK to move back to Tommy?
