cpanel and mx entry problem

Recommended Posts

I experience some problems while trying to configure my mx entries using the cpanel.

Clicking on the mx entry link results to this:

Not Found

The server was not able to find the document (./frontend/x3/mail/mx.html) you requested.
Please check the url and try again. You might also want to report this
error to your webhost.

cpaneld/11.23.6 Server at www.heliohost.org

Any help?

Thank you in advance and keep up the good work!

Hmm, I know other people here are using Google mail servers. I'm not sure exactly how they do it, though.

I'll let the cPanel folks know about that problem.

EDIT

cPanel says: "A workaround is to disable javascript before visiting the area in cPanel." They say they will fix the problem soon.

Hi, I also have a problem with cpanel and mx entries. When I am trying to change it, it says:

There was a problem changing the mx entry. Show Details

Error fetching zone data for trida2010.co.cc.db's MX

On account trida2010.co.cc

I'm not sure that CO.CC domains support MX entries. Either that, or they are not setting HelioHost as authoritative for MX entries. Ask around to figure out how to figure MX entries on CO.CC domains :)

No, it must be problem on heliohost, because i set nameservers to heliohost, then in cpanel i try domains.live.com mx entries, they works, but i decided to change it to google .. but from that point i can't change it to anything :( Can you fix it, please?

So: Can you please reset my account? I think it should help .. Thanks.

gillam: What do you mean by "same problem"? Be specific. There are at least two different problems in this thread.

Ola: What happens if you try to switch to domains.live.com? Does it still error out? Also, what do you mean by "reset my account"?

I am trying to configure my MX records in CPANEL for GMAIL apps.

I try to add MX records for GMAIL. I insert the MX record, with Java script off so that the browser allows it. I then get a message "Error fetching zone data for agillam.co.cc.db's MX"

Help please!

It still happens right now. :( It also don't work for all other adresses ..

By reseting my account i mean if you can't resetup my acc - setting all as it was when i register ...

Or couldn't you set the mx entries for trida2010.co.cc to aspmx.l.google.com and also make CNAME point from mail.trida2010.co.cc to ghs.google.com?

OK, I have manually edited your zone file for the CNAME. However, MX records are giving me the same errors as they are giving you. I'm looking into this with the cPanel folks; I'll let you know once I have an answer.

EDIT

Never mind, I have figured this out. Ola, your MX records are now pointed. gillam: try editting your MX record in cPanel again.
