The Max. Upload Size: 2M | Max. POST Size: 8M are too small to update joomla, change both to a minimum of 64M Memory limit is 32M better to be 128M or better.

Above is from FPA, Krydos can you change these limits.

I mean the following

php_value upload_max_filesize 64M

php_value post_max_size 64M

I imagine I can try this with the local .htaccess; however for other user having this similar issue, perhaps better to set the global php settings.

Anyway i can't check if this is the cause as Tommy has been down for hours now. Thank you for the response.

Nope. We intentionally block users from changing this on their own so they don't hog the server resources.

Tommy did not have any major outages. Something's broken on your end or with your ISP: http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/

Bro what about post max 64M. Still can't update Joomla with upload 64M

**It was down due to putting 2 lines above in .htaccess giving a Error 500, now removed back to normal but still can't update Joomla.

Post max size is already set to 64M. http://krydos.heliohost.org/71/phpinfo.php

As I said earlier, it's not the server, their product is just broken. I have a joomla install running outside of here (granted I'm on a WIMP instead of LAMP server) with values much higher than we'd ever consider here, it still won't update...

Sorry i peek at your php info to check out the values.

But in hostgator joomla update ok, you still think joomla product is problem?

Considering I manage a few Joomlas myself across 3 servers (none on our cpanel servers, though one is on Lily) and exactly zero will update, I'd blame the product...it's either bad code or bad documentation.

Odds are it has some very particular requirements for the updater that most servers don't meet...hostgator is probably one of the few that do.

What I would like to know is what that requirement is...

Wolstech for your happy hunting more info

1 before this new Tommy, i need to rely on softculous (recommended by Krydos) to do update. But now softculous is no longer an option.

2 I can't update from 9.13 to 9.14 all the way up to 9.16 now

So perhaps you can compare these 3 environment to pin point the requirement.

Maybe it's this

max_execution_time: At Least 120 Recommended: 300

It's currently set to 30. I'd be willing to increase that to 300 but only temporarily while you do your update if you think that it timing out is the issue.

I will also check all related files and folder Permission are (644 and 755) on site.
