[Solved] Lily or Tommy for .Net Core?

Hi, new member here. I'd like to be able to use ASP.NET Core with one of your servers. The Wiki mentions that it is only available in Lily, but when I signed up today, the Server Selection page recommended using Tommy.

Could you please advise which server to use?

Thank you,

.- Eric

Tommy is a Linux server whereas Lily is a Windows server. Unlike Tommy Lily doesn't have a control panel like cPanel.

So you'll have to post about what application are you looking to deploy and our root admin wolstech will setup an account for you. :)

It's a personal application, meaning, literally, there is only one user: me. Right now, it's a few assorted JavaScript (Node) scripts that help me keep track of what things I have "seen" or "want to see" (e.g. movies, stocks, YouTube videos). It's a very small app (~ 6 MB in code + 12 MB in SQL data). I'm in the process of converting the code from JavaScript (Node) to C# (ASP.NET Core) thus wanting to start hosting with .NET

You need a cPanel account anyway, so get a tommy account for Node then request lily access. :)

Lily accounts don’t count for the one account limit because they have to piggyback on a cPanel account due to how they work.

I created an account in Johnny since it was the only server available when I refreshed the Server Selection page.

Hope that helps with my request to access Lily since using ASP.NET Core is what I'm really interested, thanks.

Sorry for the insistence, @wolstech, is there anything else I might need to do to help with my request?

I'd like to access Lily in order to start testing ASP.NET Core.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I've just been too busy to get to this. I'm also in PA and got hit by Isaias on Tuesday...between having no power until yesterday morning and the fact I have two jobs (one of which is extra busy because they sell disaster relief supplies), it'll probably be late tonight or tomorrow before I get to it. All of us are volunteer, so we do this in our free time...something I simply have had very little of since Tuesday. I've been doing what I can on my phone and my lunches until I get an hour or two to sit and just go through everything on here.

Please check your PMs.

Yeah, the area took a beating from that storm. I personally wasn't hard hit aside from power outages, but there were tons of downed trees and other storm damage. Much of it is finally cleaned up thankfully. Power is back on pretty much everywhere, and all the major roads are open again.
