[Solved] Hosting ASP .NET web app

Hi admin,

username: rarahim

current server: Johnny

I recently registered an account on Johnny server having read on the website that says it supports python 3 as well as ASP .NET. But i failed to get ASP .NET working. After searching around, i found out that Johnny no longer supports ASP .NET, and that if i wanted to host ASP .NET pages, i needed to have an account on Lily.. i suppose this new updated info is not made very clear on the website.

So, could i request to have an account on Lily? i plan to host some lightweight ASP .NET web app mainly for my dev and testing purposes. I need to maintain my account on Johnny though because i still need to use python 3.

Thanks in advance..

Sure. It'll probably be tonight before I'm at my computer to set you up, but I'll send you a PM with information once i create an account for you.

Please keep in mind that while Lily is fast like tommy, it's also quite bare. It has no proper user interface or other niceties (just ftp and phpmyadmin), so there's a bunch of things (mostly IIS settings) I might need to do for you. We have a bunch of other users on there though, and they're doing quite well with it.

Thank you for setting up my account. I will try to get things going by myself, and should i need further assistance, i will get in touch with you.

Btw, i could not reply to your PM, I got this error message: [#10229] We could not determine which message you were attempting to view.

Thanks again.

Ok, i have a question.. in your PM you said "To keep your account active, please be sure to log into your related cPanel account at least once every 30 days. Lily accounts will go inactive if the related cPanel account goes inactive."

...but how do i log into Lily cPanel if she does not have one? i managed to log into my account on ftp and phpmyadmin without problem.
