robertzo
I made a subdomain and want to upload a file to the website. But whenever I upload a file to my website it shows a table full of a list of files (for example uploading a file to example.com named index.html it would just show a table full of files including the index.html file. It would only show my website when I type in example.com/index.html). I want to upload a file so that the home directory of the website can show my index.html (uploading an index.html to example.com wouldn't show a table but the actual index.html file). Talk Sick
Make sure you upload files to your public_html folder for them to be visible
robertzo
Yeah, but then my file would only be visible if I go to the /index.html subdirectory. I want it to be visible in example.com not example.com/index.html
wolstech
The file name is index.html... Example.com and example.com/index.html will show the same thing. The server automatically uses the index file when you visit the domain without a path after it.
