It is an alternative to CentOS 8.https://rockylinux.org/ Be careful if you are considering using CentOS on your VPS.Support for CentOS 8 was changed at the end of 2021.https://blog.centos.org/2020/12/future-is-centos-stream/https://centos.org/distro-faq/ Support for CentOS 7 remains unchanged.
