Hello! I'm a bit too late, but I'm glad Ricky has returned and I would like to unarchive my account. Is it still possible?

We have finally finished rebuilding Ricky and he is now available for your account to be unarchived.

Since it took so much longer to complete this rebuild than we expected we're not going to automatically restore all of the active accounts from before the maintenance started because it's likely most of those people have switched servers or given up entirely at this point.

You're receiving this email because you had an active account on Ricky when he was shutdown for maintenance. If you would like to have your account reactivated simply reply to this email or make a post on the support forum requesting it to be unarchived and we will take care of them one at a time. There was no data lost, and your account can be restored exactly how it was prior to the maintenance.

As a reminder, Ricky is a clean slate which means only a few basic php extensions are currently installed, and only a few python modules are available as well. If you need something added just let us know and we will install things as needed. Also if you had remote postgresql access prior to the rebuild you'll need to request it again. Ricky has the cutting edge python 3.9.5 that was released less than 2 weeks ago, and all the latest versions possible of everything. As before Ricky doesn't support java, asp.net, node.js, etc. If you have questions about what is available just ask.

Once again we must apologize for how much longer it took to complete this rebuild than we expected. We're happy though because Ricky is performing perfectly so far, and is much faster than he was on the older hardware. Thanks for your patience during this extended maintenance.

The server returned and then died when the cPanel license was revoked back in July (cP decided to cancel the free licenses we've had for years and instead thought extortion was a better idea, they wanted $17k from us to unbrick our servers so we dumped them). We're in the process of replacing cPanel with Plesk (who offered free licenses to us), but that's not done yet. None of our servers have allowed unarchives or new users since July because cPanel no longer functions.

Since your account was archived, the only option you have at the moment is to download your archive using https://www.heliohost.org/backup/ and either purchase a VPS (https://www.heliohost.org/vps/) until the shared hosting is available again, or find another web host.

There is no ETA at this time for completion of this migration or when registrations or invites for replacement accounts will be offered again (archived accounts will likely be offered invites unless we find a way to import a cpmove file into Plesk).
