[Solved] weird stuff on plesk

Hello,

I'm wondering why I have garrigue.heliohost.org taking 400MB + juliengarrigue.garrigue.heliohost.org (taking a very small 0.6MB) on my "Websites & Domains" page on PLESK.

I can't remove them, I don't need these resources and it takes space. The only website I'm hosting is juliengarrigue.com

By the way, in the application section, I can see 3 times the application juliengarrigue.com (which is actually a wordpress application). does that means my website takes 3 times resources ? Is there a way to "clean up" this to have only one "application" ?

Thank you for your help! :)

Cheers,

J

I deleted the unneeded domains, and made juliengarrigue.com your main domain. I also deleted the unneeded www symlink, and then took a look at the application page, and it only lists your install once now. My guess is garrigue.heliohost.org was one, juliengarrigue.com was two, and the www symlink was the third one maybe and they were all the same install?

And wordpress Toolkit is not happy

I noticed in the Applications menu, my website is pointing to:

https://juliengarrigue.com/juliengarrigue

It should point to

https://juliengarrigue.com/

only

Thank you for your support 🙂

Plesk does /home/<main domain>/ instead of /home/<username>/ so when your main domain is changed your home directory changes too. You probably have the old home directory saved in your config file. You'll need to change it to match the new path.

Where is the config file please? I had a look on wp-config and .htaccess but I don't think they are the right ones.

I've also noticed that my website files are in 2 directories :

/home/juliengarrigue.com

/home/public_html/juliengarrigue

Should-I remove public_html folder and subfolders?

Thank you

I did something: I detached the website from Wordpress toolkit then I launched a scan and wordpress toolkit found my website again.

However he found 2 websites, those I mention in my previous post.

So my question is should I remove public_html (and save another 104Mb ;) ) ?

Thanks

This is your actual website. Files in this directory will change the way your website looks.

This directory isn't connected to a domain, and you can safely delete it.

/home/juliengarrigue.com/wp-config.php I believe is where you should be looking, but it might already be fixed by rescanning for new Wordpress installs after deleting the extra unused directory.

All good. We can close this case but I believe other ex-cpanel users moved to plesk might face the same situation with double websites files so double space consumption.

Thank you for your efficient support 🙂
