myscrnnm
fine adware. it delivers ads, thats the point. It could be both. Some adware uses spyware to find out what you look at, and then sends you ads based addordingly to your frequented topics.
nilayz
I would go in for Opera... its really fast. Though some sites doesn't work with Opera But for them, FireFox is the browser.
Snowboardalliance
Definately Firefox. Tabs, secure (as in no activeX etc.), and it's not by Micro$oft

It is also open source so I will never have to pay for it or have ads in it.
nilayz
Yea I agree... in XP its still ok... but if you use FF on 98, it looks as if you are browsing the net out of a box !!! Opera scores well on that
HerLoss
Im gunna have to say firefox for the exact same reasons Ive said for anything else non-MS. Its not the most widely used software, so there arent nearly as many viruses, trojans, ad/spyware programs programmed to run in them. After I switched to FF, my spy/adware scan programs have been coming up with absolutly nothing, and I've told everyone I know who has spy/adware infestations to wipe their drives and download FF right away. GameClaw_268
Firefox. Although IE does have a pop-up blocker, it is slower and insecure. In a speed test of the browsers, Opera placed first, Firefox Second, and IE down past a few others. I'm not gonna use opera thought, ads and crap are not what I want to see while browsing. majazac
Firefox. I just love the popup blocker...

awesomegamer
i use 2 things for different reasons: FF -web browsing -remembers password -no adware (thats when it says a site does not exist  ) -about 1% popups as with AOL AOL -family chat name only (or "REAL" people i know ) -my gmail email is fowarded automaticly so i know when i have mail (YOUVE GOT MAIL!) -downloads (slightly faster, % info, time estimate, and specific directory to save in)
