[Solved] Stevie slow to load php

"Linux" being corrupted doesn't make sense (what would that entail?), and if the CPU/motherboard was damaged then Stevie would more likely just not be working at all...

You think it could have been a high voltage spike when the power was restored after the power outage? It seemed that's when our problems started happening was right after the power outage.

Possibly... is there a way to diagnose something like that?

Call the manufacturer of the server and ask for "Technical Assistance" and explain to them exactly what happened. I'm sure they will be happy to help you troubleshoot something like that.

Something I've noticed recently: Roundcube is taking a whole lot of CPU time. I'll disable it and see if that helps.

I don't know if disabling that is why, but my site is a million times faster today. I've been doing a lot of work on it and haven't gotten hung up yet.

Anyone else seeing the same improvements?

This is feeling like a hardware issue. Definitely not on Apache's end or anything. Compare the ping patterns:

Stevie:

It also doesn't seem to be the upstream router - pings there return fine. I'm guessing it might be the network card, and I'm hoping it's the patch cable. I'll be gone for most of this weekend but I'll see if I can replace the patch cable sometime early next week.

Great news! Hopefully this isn't just a fluke...

We can only confirm that the issue is fixed until we hear if djbob actually did anything to solve this issue

Haha yeah, I just re-enabled the firewall. Looks like the NIC couldn't handle all the traffic that somebody was spamming... we also went from like 80mbps use to like 3mbps use.

Really glad we got this solved!
