Prashant
Recently I started using linux but my friends are windows fan. They don't agree with me that WITHOUT the use of any software like windowsblinds or object dock, Linux can actually look better than windows. Here are some screenshots to prve my words: KDE: GNOME: If U want more themes to ice your linux desktop(KDE) here you go KDE-LOOK ====>>>So Enjoy Linux To The Maximum<<<=====
nilayz
Linux looks equally good (if not better) than Windows.. though that depends on the flavour of Linux u r using!
HerLoss
I still prefer the white-on-black look and feel of a command line.
Prashant
Linux looks equally good (if not better) than Windows.. though that depends on the flavour of Linux u r using! Well geeks like HerLoss would always prefer the classic command line look but novices like me would love GUI though I have started learning the commands as well. Any Linux distro can be made beautiful by KDE and Gnome. So it is pretty much flavour independent but interest dependent .
roote
when kde4 will be out, combined with suse 10, linux will have the most pwnd kick [bleeped!] desktop look.
Prashant
Well this is right as in KDE4 they are introducing true glass type icons that would make it look awesome
Kyougi
KDE4 is going to be way too graphically intensive, and a waste of processor speed. Same with Vista I prefer a more subtle GNOME or xFCE.
Flashmedia
Windows Vista looks extremely good at the first site. After a couple of days your eyes will get bored and uncomfortable of the contrasts ... Linux looks simply good. If Tiger OS X was in the game I would definitely vote for it. Ehehe, yeah, Tiger OS X is major eye-candy. That's why I customised my PC to resemble it
stu
Mac looks the best, but i will stick with windows because you can play more games on it.
1337
You can get a theme to get Linux to resemble it.. and customize the layout.
Kyougi
Mandriva also has integrated 3D effects now, whee. Looks amazing.
Australian-Assault
I really like the screensavers that certain linux distro's have built into them, although my experience with linux is always short lived because i want to get back to playing games, which is not one of linuxes strong points. Kyougi
Transgaming Cedega always works just enough for me. Mandriva 2007's 3D desktop rocks.
