  1. http://www.helionet.org/index/index.php?showtopic=10192 from the news forum, and it's been all over twitter all day. Stevie should be done upgrading soon. That's great news =) since they know what it is this time. Thanks for the prompt reply! Any idea what the problem was a couple of months back, for that extended period of time? Now I'm curious, even though it may turn out I was just speculating random things.
  2. Hi folks at Heliohost Over the past few days, I've been noticing that my site which is hosted on Stevie has begun to have random slowdowns again. Sometimes I won't be able to load a page for minutes at a time, which means I can't access my webmail, cpanel, or anything like that. Other times, I get a 500 Internal Server Error instantly. This reminds me of 1 or 2 months ago when Stevie was having the same problem and many users were complaining for a long time. I actually had to switch hosts during this time because my site was literally unviewable, as I'm sure all the other websites were too. Mine actually dropped in google rankings to the point that it was impossible to get any traffic from google searches anymore. I remember I kept checking in, and the problem persisted for well over a month or two, and eventually I saw that it had been fixed. Furthermore, someone said that all along, the problem that went unfixed for months was that someone had simply disabled the firewall instructions which dealt with DDOS attacks/packet spamming etc. So does that mean for all that time when Stevie was acting up and nobody knew what was going on, an admin disabled DDOS protection and then took that long to re-enable it? At the time I thought that someone was just DDOSing heliohost for those slow couple of months. Either way, is there any chance someone clicked that radio button again by mistake? I'm just trying to save you awesome people some time here
  3. They probably will as soon as they wake up, there's barely any views yet even
  4. username: qhstore server: stevie main domain: quitehigh (dot) com I apologise as I was in a crazed rush and posted it under Customer Service, because I noticed another topic with a similar title, and didn't realise that there was this whole other section for queued accounts. Sorry if it's because of not logging in to cPanel, I have been logging in to webmail regularly and i thought that was part of the same cPanel page Thanks in advance for all your help, your service and quality has been unmatched so far
  5. Hello everyone, I'd first like to thank the awesome folks at HelioHost, since I've tried literally over 50 free hosts in the past two months and this is by far the best, in terms of service, quality, friendly staff, you name it. Oh, and I should've started off by saying you're way better than Bluehost which is a paid host! My website is http://quitehigh.com and Earlier today I was Live Chatting with a customer and he said he kept getting this HELIOHOST ACCOUNT QUEUED page all of a sudden, no matter which link he clicked. At fist I couldn't recreate it, but as soon as I cleared my browser's cache it happened to me too. Just wondering why this could be? :S I may have forgotten to log in for 30 days, but that's just because I was distracted by editing my site from Wordpress. So my site has changed, not like it's remained idle all this time. Also, I log in to cPanel every time to check my e-mail, so I don't think it's because of inactivity. Anyhow, if it's not just a problem related to my site then I'm pretty sure you guys are already working on sorting it out. It's just weird to me. I know the last long problems you had with slow load times turned out to be because of a DDOS attack which was crippling the sites on stevie because the firewall was turned off. I wonder what's causing this message now :S Not that it makes a difference, but it's been my 21st birthday for 3 hours now (it's 3:08 am here) So i'm pretty excited for this to get sorted out, since it'll be a much anticipated birthday gift Speaking of gifts, if any HelioHost staff that helps handle this issue is interested in Researching the types of things my site offers, I'll gladly send out samples, 100% free Not advertising anything, just trying to get this issue fixed sooner rather than later. Surprisingly enough I usually have more traffic at night. Thanks again for providing this GREAT service! Here's the page I get:
  6. Yeah, it's def. touch and go at this point. Was getting pretty good speeds early today, but now it's starting to revert back to timeouts and lags. EDIT: And then of course right after I post the speeds pick up again! haha. Unpredictable for sure. I think they have a switch that they flip. I/O (Lag/Don't Lag) Either way, this is by far the best free host out of the 10s I've tried
  7. Wow, stuff like this must be a pain to figure out, when you don't even know what's causing it. This is the 4th free host i've tried, and the 3 before were far worse. At least Helio started off fast for me, the other ones were just sub par. I bet once I switch hosts again this one'll be back to normal, haha
  8. I too am having problems with my site which is hosted on Stevie. For brief amounts of time it looks like it's loading at full speed, but other times it is very sluggish, barely loading at all. Whenever this happens it's also almost impossible to access my webmail or cpanel because those are just as slow. This is weird, since heliohost was always a blazing fast host for me. Edit: My domain is qhstore.heliohost.org, since I saw the guidelines say to mention that.
