so i host my sub domain(http://forum.cookiesandcream.net) for the domain name on our forum,i changed it's A record to a specific ip address,but then after how many days the subdomain is still not pointing to that ip address,and the site is not allowing the sub domain to be used in the forum.what to do?

so im new here,i just found this website yesterday night. i just wanna ask something and ehre it is.... since i found your free web hosting service,i transfered my domain to my cpanel in heliohost service.the ip address of my domain was pointing to a specific ip address(before i transfered my domain to my new web hosting),then after i transfer it how come it's still pointing to that ip address? i tried to reset the advance dns zone of my domain but it's still pointing to that ip. so am just i going to wait for a while to let it function proerly,or this is a problem already?
