  1. Actually... Why not save money and resources by investing in the Macbook Earth, Water, or Fire?
  2. By looking at your profile thing next to your post you can probably guess how to earn and how many you get per action. Here's an example of usage and how to get them.
  3. It's Bioware, it has to be good. On another note, by now I'm sure you've heard of the Fox News media regarding it and the article's repercussions. Things like that just add to that news portion's crappiness.
  4. In addition... Mass Effect Crackdown is pretty fun GTA 4 has a release date of 4/29/2008 If you're an achievement/GP junkie, borrow Avatar for the stupidly easy achievements.
  5. Just watched Cloverfield last night, LOVE IT! It was really well done given that it was from a handheld video camera's point of view (which was annoying at times but more immersive, yet I was slightly nauseous by the end). For those of you who are going to see it, if you're interested in a no-longer-thanks-to-the-internets mysterious audio clip stay after the credits. Before anyone asks (and lazy people still will), other than the trailer, there's currently nothing that accurately resembles the monster, especially the whale-crayfish plus limbs and lice concept art (which is fan art, if you didn't already know). You do see it throughout the movie, though.
  6. You asked for reviews, so here's one: Weak documentation, "code" probably isn't the best word, far from professional. It's hardly worth the download with a plethora of similar programs currently available. That's my opinion, brutal as it may seem. For those of you doubtful, as sketchily as it was presented, it's not a virus, nor does it contain anything resembling one or other forms of malware. I have a better alternative: Launchy. If you want something faster (as in, open on a key combo) but not exactly free, Keyboard Launchpad will do the trick.
  7. Um...somebody set up us the bomb? Assuming it's use with (not sure because English was apparently not a first language)...e-mail/IM/other forms of communication, browse, download, plenty of gaming through either PC, Wii, or 360.
  8. I played it for several hours straight a night for over a week with a few of my friends. I've mastered drums on medium (having never played drums in my life), and I've got a couple down on Hard and Expert. I've also done bass, which is pretty easy except when it's either all over the board or I lose myself trying to get to the fifth fret (or back). One thing I hate is Run to the Hills is harder on Hard than Expert. Sometimes we'll do random things like everyone choosing Expert regardless of actual skill and failing almost all the time because one guy fails within the first minute. I like a lot of the song list, although some I could definitely live without. I forget which song it was, but it was one where there was no pitch (I think Sabotage), and some girl who'd barely heard of the song just yelled and swore into the mic the whole time and did rather well. We almost failed because we couldn't stop laughing.
  9. I don't find buying quad cores worth the money. We can barely take full advantage of dual cores, and here we are getting ahead of ourselves stuffing more onto a chip (or motherboard with multiple sockets). Of course, they can't help but advance technology anyway. Performance increase varies depending on the task, as I've seen a number of benchmarks swaying both ways. If the price difference is negligible, go for it, but otherwise don't bother. It also largely depends on what you have. If you have an Intel dual core, depending on the model you should be set for some time.
  10. Hey. I'm 21, live in New Hampshire, and am working on a Software Engineering BS in Vermont. I'd like to end up in the gaming industry, but I figured SWE would keep me well rounded in case I never get there (although I get bored with the theory and standards stuff). I know a handful of programming languages and am always learning a bit more. This past semester I discovered the power of ASP.NET and C#. At first I started at x10hosting, but their services were horribly slow, and they were constantly running into issues. I'm much more satisfied here where pages will actually load. I was just interested in making a PHP AJAX page (I knew nothing about PHP or Javascript until over Christmas break) and wanted a free host, so I went to to free-webhosts.com and found this. I would've used ASP.NET AJAX, but since I prefer C# I couldn't seem to find a free one (they're all worried about security and I didn't feel like learning another language). So yeah, I'm a computer guy, but much more a gamer. I also collect for no particular reason, snowboard, and watch a couple TV shows regularly, among other things. ...yay me!
