It is a good idea to goto the Directory Privacy and make the folder public_html a protected folder? Bailey Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 If you don't want people to be able to access your website without a password then yes. However, if you have a public website then no. If you want to protect a separate directory. For example /public_html/private/ then you can set a password using cPanel on only that directory. Then when anyone accesses /private/ they will be asked for a password.
